    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the novel mixture which can be developed with an aq. alkaline soln., has a stable acid latent image, is for production of semiconductor structure and has high radiation sensitivity in a short wavelength UV region by incorporating a binder which is insoluble in water and is soluble in aq. alkaline soln. and specific compds. into the mixture. CONSTITUTION:This mixture contains, as essential components, binder a which is insoluble in water and is soluble in aq. alkaline soln., compd. b which has at least one bonds cleavable by an acid, compd. c which generates an acid by radiation and basic ammonium compd. d. The content of the basic ammonium compd. d is 0.01 to 1.00mol equiv. of the max. quantity of the acid which can be theoretically formed out of the compd. c. Such compd. d is being sold in the market as an aq. soln. of ammonium hydroxide or a methanol soln. and this strong basic compd. is added to a resist soln., thereby phenolite anions are generated in the resist matrix. These anions neutralize the acid successively diffusing into non-exposed areas.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To decompose efficiently carbon monoxide gas with combustion reaction by mixing a reaction promoting gas of a volume necessary to decompose the carbon monoxide component in the exhaust gas and introducing this mixture gas into the vortex flow of a combustion promoting gas through the flame wall. CONSTITUTION:The exhaust gas that is introduced from a piping 13 and the reaction promoting gas (oxygen gas) that is introduced from a piping 14 form a laminar flow and flow through in a mixing section 1 and are introduced to a combustion area section 3. On the other hand when the high speed combustion promoting gas flow that flows in the combustion promoting gas flowing area section 4 reaches a communicating port 7, the gas flow collides with the low speed mixture gas in the combustion area section 3. Part of the combustion promoting gas enters the communicating port 7 and collides with the side wall of the combustion area section 3 at a point 16 and flows in the direction of the arrow mark 17 centrifugally in a vortex flow. A flame wall is formed in the combustion area section 3 by an ignitor 10, and the mixture gas flows down and burns and is decomposed to generate a vortex flame. The direction of the vortex flame is determined by a baffle 8 downstream of the flow area section 4. Therefore, the combustion reaction of carbon monoxide component is made efficiently and the decomposition is promoted.

CONSTITUTION:A tool for measuring the activity of an enzyme or an enzymic reaction inhibitor is composed of a capillary part 1 filled with a substrate gel (G) for the enzymic reaction and a test solution housing part 2 attached to one end thereof. A method for measuring the activity of the enzyme or enzymic reaction inhibitor is characterized as follows. The substrate gel for the enzymic reaction is filled in the capillary and a test solution is brought into contact and reacted with the substrate gel in the capillary. The volume of the substrate get dissolved after the reaction is then measured.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make the size of a solvent reproducing apparatus small by installing a pervaporation membrane module for removing water in an evaporation layer of an organic solvent evaporation tank. CONSTITUTION:The pervaporation method is a method not to apply pressure to the raw liquid side but depressurize the permeated side to remove water. Consequently, since pressure for permeation is not needed in the raw liquid side, water in the solvent in the evaporation tank 3 is removed when a PV membrane module 9 is installed in an evaporation layer of the evaporation tank 3 and the permeated side of the PV membrane module 9 is depressurized. In other words, the PV membrane module 9 is installed in the evaporation layer in the evaporation tank 3 in an organic solvent reproducing apparatus consisting of a solvent supplying pipe 1, a solvent 2, the evaporation tank 3, a heater 4, a cooler 5, an object 6 to be cleaned, a vacuum pump suction pipe 11, a condenser 12, a cooling water pipe 13, and a vacuum pump 15. As the result, the whole size of the apparatus is necessarily made small.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a protein in high homogeneity and yield by using a transformant transformed with a specific vector and culturing the transformant in a medium. CONSTITUTION:A protein BBRP42 (a) is produced by culturing Bacillus brevis 47 strain and separating a supernatant at the initial stage of cultivation. A gene coding the component (a) is analyzed to obtain a DNA (b) composed of a base sequence of formula II (J is A or C; R is A or G) coding a signal peptide of formula I. A vector (e) such as pEGF-2 is produced by integrating the component (b), a DNA (c) coding a desired foreign protein (e.g. human epidermal growth factor) linked to the downstream terminal of the component (b), a promoter (d) having >=30 base pairs of the base sequence of formula III, etc. The component (e) is introduced into a Bacillus brevis, the obtained transformant (f) is cultured at about 37 deg.C and the obtained supernatant of the culture product is extracted and purified to obtain the objective protein such as human epidermal growth factor.
