    Abstract: PURPOSE:To scavenge the whole interior of a combustion chamber of a 2-cycle engine. CONSTITUTION:Three exhaust valves 9, 10, 11 are disposed in one side peripheral part of the inner wall surface 2a of a cylinder head and two feed valves 12, 13 are disposed in the other side peripheral part of the inner wall surface 3a of the cylinder head. Further, one feed valve 14 is disposed in the central part of the inner wall surface 3a of the cylinder head. Openings of the respective feed valves 12, 13, 14 formed in the exhaust valves 9, 10, 11 sides are covered with mask walls 16, 19, 22. The exhaust valve 11 is obliquely disposed to approach the inner wall surface 1a of the cylinder bore at the exhaust valve 11 side as the exhaust valve 11 located in the central part among three exhaust valves 9, 10, 11, and the exhaust valves 9, 10 are disposed obliquely to separate from the inner wall surface 1a of the cylinder bore as a pair of the remaining exhaust valves 9, 10 are opened.

Communication spaces 27, 28 are formed so as to communicate the bottom bearing cap wall bottom faces 23, 24 to crank chambers arranged between inner wall faces of the oil pan 1.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To spray an amount of fuel necessary at time of idling as well as to make all the sprayed fuel subject to vacuum boiling so favorably by setting the capacity of a fuel sump to be almost equal to that occupied by fuel when a fuel injection quantity is minimized. CONSTITUTION:Low pressure fuel supplied to a fuel inflow port 42 is fed into a fuel chamber 44 in a housing body 21 by way of the inside of a filter 43 and the circumference of a movable core 36. Next, it is fed into a fuel sump 40 by way of a fuel passage between a needle 31 and a needle insert hole 30 and a fuel measuring throttle passage 39. Then, a solenoid 23a is energized, the movable core 36 moves toward the needle 31, and when a valve element 33 separates from a valve seat 32, fuel is spouted into a combustion chamber 5. In this case, capacity of a fuel sump 40 should be set to be almost equal to that at a time when a fuel injection quantity is minimized. At time of idling, almost all the fuel heated at the very limit of boiling temperature, in the fuel sump 40, is sprayed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To control the injected fuel quantity accurately by leading scavenging air pressure into a pressure regulator for regulating fuel pressure increasing the fuel pressure according to the increase of the scavenging air pressure, and injecting fuel into a cylinder from a fuel injection valve at the specified time. CONSTITUTION:A pair of air supply valves 6 are disposed facing a recessed groove 5 formed at the inner wall surface 3a of a cylinder head 3, as well as a pair of exhaust valves 7 are disposed on the approximately plane inner wall surface 3c excluding the recessed groove 5, and a fuel injection valve 18 is disposed at the peripheral part of the inner wall surface 3b below the air supply valve 6. This fuel injection valve 18 is supplied with fuel delivered from a fuel supply pump 23 and regulated in pressure by a pressure regulator 24. In this case, pressure in a surge tank 17 is led into a spring chamber 26 partitioned by the diaphragm 25 of the pressure regulator 24, through a conduit 29. Fuel injection is performed within the period between the time when the air supply valve 6 is opened and the time when the pressure in the spring chamber 26 becomes approximately equal to that in a combustion chamber 4 after the air supply valve 6 is closed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable easy firing of mixture without sooting an ignition plug by injecting fuel slightly below the inner wall surface portion of a cylinder head at the exhaust valve side. CONSTITUTION:The nozzle 15 of an air blast valve 14 is disposed such that the axis K of injection becomes approximately parallel to the inner wall surface portion 3c of a cylinder head. Also, the nozzle 15 is disposed such that the upper line of fuel spray is not applied to said inner wall portion 3c of the cylinder head around an exhaust valve 7. Thus, when fuel is injected from the nozzle 15 together with compressed air, the fuel spray F is deflected downward by new air streams, i.e. toward the central part in a combustion chamber 4 so that the new air stream S is fed toward an intake valve 6 through a gap between the fuel spray F and said portion 3c. Thus, the fuel spray F is moved into contact and mixed with high temperature burnt gas collected in the central portion of the combustion chamber 4, so that the gasification of fuel is promoted and thereby fuel is easily fired.

CONSTITUTION:New air ports 20 and exhaust ports 22 are oppositely provided on a cylinder head 14 and new air valves 24 and exhaust valve 26 are provided to these ports respectively. Also, two new air manifolds 30, 32 are installed on the cylinder head 14. And, a new air control valve 48 is provided on the new air manifold 32 on the high load side and is opened and closed with an engine load and an engine speed as a parameter. In this case, when the new air control valve 48 is closed, new air fed from the new air port 30 in the low load side is carried on an exhaust gas which forms a swirl, attaining stratifi cation. On the other hand, when the new air control valve 48 is opened, crossflow scavenging direction from the near air valves 24 to the discharge air valves 26 is carried out by new air fed from both new airports 20.

CONSTITUTION:In heavy load range of an engine, an intake air control valve 16 is opened, and on the other hand, an exhaust gas control valve 34 is closed. Then, exhaust valves 31a, 31b are opened according to the descendent motion of a piston, to blow-out the exhaust gas abruptly. Next, suction vales 21a, 21b are opened to blow-in the fresh air from suction ports 20a, 20b toward a combustion chamber 2, respectively, and by this matter, cross scavenging is performed by the exhaust gas and the fresh air. At this time, a counter-blow of the fresh air is prevented by check valves 18a, 18b. Next, a part of the fresh air is stored in exhaust ports 32a, 32b and an exhaust manifold 33 for a while, by exhaust pulse effect, and after that, the stored fresh air is pushed into the combustion chamber 2 as this fresh air is blown back. At this time, dynamic pressure which acts on intake ports 20a, 20b is checked by the check valves 18a, 18b, respectively.

CONSTITUTION:In light load range of an engine, an intake air control valve 16 is closed, and on the other hand, an exhaust gas control valve 34 is opened. Then, the first exhaust valve 31a is opened according to the descendent motion of a piston 3, to blow the exhaust gas toward the first exhaust port 32a, and this exhaust gas is blown back to a combustion chamber 2. At this time, a swirl of exhaust gas is formed by a mask 5. After that, the second exhaust valve 32b and intake valves 21a, 21b are opened, respectively. On the other hand, fresh air passed through a throttle valve 13 and a supercharger 14, is led slowly into the combustion chamber 2 through an intake valve 21a, and gathered near a sparking plug 4 on the cylinder head 6 side. In this way, the fresh air on the cylinder head 6 side and the exhaust gas on the piston 3 side, are stratified, and consequently, the ignitionability is improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To secure proper combustion while decreasing a pumping loss in a four-cycle internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust valve 7 is opened up to the middle term of an intake stroke. As a result, exhaust gas flows back to the inside of a combustion chamber 4 during the first half of an intake stroke, and thus a pumping loss can be decreased because negative pressure inside the combustion chamber 4 is decreased. An exhaust port 8 is formed in a herical manner, and the exhaust gas flowing back toward the combustion chamber 4 is placed in its turning motion inside the exhaust port 8. The exhaust gas continues to make turning motion around the cylinder axial line after it flows in the inside of the combustion chamber 4, and descends together with a piston 2. As a result, exhaust gas Y is collected on the top face of the piston 2 in the last half of the intake stroke, and air-mixture Z is collected in the top space of the combustion chamber 4, and the air-mixture is ignited by an ignition plug.
