Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for cutting interconnected plastic products for use in the medical sector provided in a continuous band of plastic.SOLUTION: The device comprises at least one laser 6, at least one laser control system and at least one optical acquisition and data processing unit. The optical acquisition unit determines positional data for the interconnected plastic products provided in the band. From the positional data a cutting pattern is calculated, which is transmitted to the laser control system. According to this cutting pattern, the position, intensity and focal point of the at least one laser is controlled by the laser control system, which comprises a focusing optic, a deflection unit and a beam-former.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method whereby the precision of predefined line widths and repeating pitches are maintained, enabling a prescribed pattern to be machined.SOLUTION: The apparatus and method are provided with: a sheet material conveying part 2 for conveying a sheet material 10; a holding part 24 for holding the sheet material 10; a laser irradiation part 35 for emitting laser beams; laser irradiation position changing parts 31, 33 for moving the laser irradiation part 35 relative to the width direction and conveyance direction of the sheet material; a machining pattern registration part for registering where to project the laser beams; and a control unit for emitting the laser beams while changing the position of irradiation positions on the basis of a registered machining pattern. The apparatus and method are further provided with a reference mark observation part and a reference mark interval measuring part 5, the control unit emitting the laser beams while successively correcting and changing the relative positions of movement of the laser irradiation position changing parts 31, 33 on the basis of the positions of the reference marks and the dimensions between the marks, and registered prescribed pattern information.
Abstract:
A laser blanking device for high speed cutting of a rapidly fed strip of coil stock is disclosed and includes a support frame extending along a first longitudinal axis and a conveyor supported by the support frame. A strip of coil stock material is fed onto the conveyor at a pinch roll located near a first end of the frame. Transverse, moveable gantries above the conveyor suspend lasers. A pinch roll located near a second end of the frame assists movement of the material. Multiple laser cutting operations are simultaneously performed on the material as it moves along the device, and a laser head suspended from a gantry situated after the second pinch roll completes a cut that separates a blank from the remainder of the stock material.
