Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus preventing a carrier sticking on an image carrier due to reduction in resistivity value of the carrier owing to long-term use of a developer without causing a decrease in picture quality of an output image. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 includes a toner density control unit 24 which controls a toner hopper 40 to increase the toner density of a developer in a developing tank when a resistivity value determination unit 22 determines that a volume resistivity value measured by a resistivity value measuring unit 21 falls below a prescribed volume resistivity value stored in a prescribed resistivity value storage unit 23, and a display control unit 27 which warns a user to replace a developing unit or developer when a density determination unit 25 determines that detected toner density detected by a toner density sensor 15 exceeds prescribed toner density stored in a prescribed density storage unit 26. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an inkjet head device in which an inkjet head can secure a suitable negative pressure and which has a small consumption amount of ink, and to provide an ink feeding method. SOLUTION: In the inkjet head device 1, the inkjet head 11, a sub tank 13 and a main tank 14 are loaded to become higher in the order of description on a carriage 16. These inkjet head 12, sub tank 13 and main tank 14 are mutually connected by an ink tube 24 branched in three ways. A three-way selector valve 15 is disposed at a branching point of the ink tube 24, which alternatively switches a connection destination of the sub tank 13 between the main tank 14 and the inkjet head 11 without making the inkjet head 11 and the main tank 14 communicate with each other. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development device that realizes, in a short time, a parameter design relating to control of the thickness of a developer layer formed on the surface of a developer supply roller, and corrects the thickness of the developer layer depending on deterioration with time and an environmental change, thereby keeping the image quality constant all the time, and to provide a development device design method. SOLUTION: The product of a ratio between the toner transport force F(Ra1) of a development roller 16 and the toner transport force F(Ra2) of a doctor roller 17, F(Ra2)/F(Ra1), and the circumferential speed ratio between the development roller 16 and the doctor roller 17, V2/V1, is a factor for determining the thickness of a layer of toner sticking to the development roller 16. Using the factor, the toner transport force (Ra1) and circumferential speed of the development roller 16 and the toner transport force (Ra2) and circumferential speed of the doctor roller 17 are set. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of sufficiently supplying non- magnetic one-component toner without making a developer supply member in press-contact and friction with a developer carrier, and capable of stably obtaining a high density image since the stress to the toner and the secular deterioration of the toner are small. SOLUTION: By providing periodic conductive electrode patterns 21, 22... on the surface of the developer carrier 1 carrying the non-magnetic toner 15 through an insulating part and applying desired bias potential to the electrodes 21 and 22, electric field gradient is formed near the surface of the developer carrier 1, so that the toner 15 is stuck and fed onto the carrier 1 without needing a triboelectrification process.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and an imaging method producing an output image having no granular feeling and exhibiting excellent image reproducibility at the time of forming a halftone image, especially the intermediate or low density part thereof. SOLUTION: When a processing section 200 for controlling an exposing means 15 reproduces a halftone image area of a specified gray level or below, granular feeling is suppressed by selecting an exposure pattern which can be represented with a recording dot diameter within a range based on a specified rule among exposure patterns prepared previously. When a plurality of exposure patterns are applicable, an exposure pattern having a smallest number of dots per inch is used thus forming a halftone image having excellent image reproducibility.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a capsule toner includes: a step of forming release agent-coated toner base particles having a release agent layer on the surface of a toner base particle, by imparting mechanical impact force to toner base particles in a fluidized state while spraying a release agent solution prepared by dissolving the release agent in a solvent; and a step of forming a resin coating layer on the surface of the release agent-coated toner base particle by fluidizing the release agent-coated toner base particles and resin fine particles and imparting mechanical impact force to the fluidized particles. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a capsule toner having a favorable fixing property and a cleaning property and sufficient strength. SOLUTION: The method for producing the capsule toner includes an adhesion step and a film formation step. In the adhesion step, toner base particles with the adhesion of resin fine particles are obtained by mixing under stirring toner base particles which contain a crystalline resin and a colorant and has a softening point of 110°C or lower and a circularity of 0.960 or smaller with resin fine particles so as to make the resin fine particles adhere to the surfaces of the toner base particles. In the film formation step, a resin coating layer is formed on the surface of the toner base particle by spraying spray liquids to the toner base particles with the adhesion of resin fine particles under stirring so as to soften the resin fine particles adhering to the surface of the toner base particle and to form a film thereon. The melting point (a) of the crystalline resin included in the toner base particles, the boiling point (b) of the spray liquid and the glass transition temperature (c) of the resin fine particles satisfy an expression (1). The expression (1) is (a)>(b)>(c). COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
