    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a bulky surface sheet for an absorbent article which is excellent in a liquid flowing prevention property and a liquid pull-in property and is highly flexible in a surface direction. SOLUTION: In this surface sheet used for the skin abutting surface of the absorbent article, a thermally melt-stuck part 4 is formed by partially and thermally melt-sticking first nonwoven fabric 1 and second nonwoven fabric 2 laminated with each other. In the first nonwoven fabric 1, the part other than the thermally melt-stuck part 4 forms a projection part 5 projected toward the skin side of a wearing person, and many projection parts 5 are formed discontinuously in both of one direction (X direction) of the surface directions of the surface sheet and the direction (Y direction) orthogonal to the one direction. Short fibers 3 are filled inside each of the projection parts 5, there is practically no short fiber 3 in the thermally melt-stuck part 4, and fiber densities at the respective projection parts of the surface sheet are made higher in the order of the first nonwoven fabric 1, the short fibers 3 and the second nonwoven fabric 2.
