PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an esterification reaction product which has a high water-resistive film formation capability, can provide gloss feeling, and is excellent in moisture occlusion.SOLUTION: The esterification reaction product is obtained by esterifying the following component A, component B and component C. The component A: 12-hydroxystearic acid polymer of heptamer or more polymer. The component B: A fatty acid other than 12-hydroxystearic acid polymer. The component C: Pentaerythritol.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing automobile parts in which heat resistance of stereocomplex polylactic acid is utilized efficiently.SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing automobile parts, polylactic acid (A component) in which the ratio of a melting peak at ≥195°C is ≥80% in the melting peak in a temperature rising process is acquired by injection molding in the range of 80-130°C of a mold temperature, in measurement by (A) a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). The polylactic acid comprises a polylactic acid unit (A-1) configured of 90-100 mol% L-lactic acid unit and 0-10 mol% unit of the D-lactic acid or the like, and a polylactic acid unit (A-4) configured of 90-100 mol% D-lactic acid unit and 0-10 mol% unit of the L-lactic acid or the like, and is obtained by subjecting (A-1/A-4) to heat treatment with the weight ratio of 10/90 to 90/10 at 245-300°C.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of capable of manufacturing a liquid crystal molded article excellent in surface smoothness in low specific gravity.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal polyester molded article is manufactured by injection-molding the crystal polyester composition comprising a hollow body of 15-35 pts.pass compound having a volume average grain diameter of 15-30 μm with respect to liquid crystal polyester of 100 pts.pass at 140°C or higher of a mold temperature. The hollow body is preferably a glass balloon and the compression strength of the hollow body is preferably 60 MPa or higher.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lactic acid polymer suitable for a raw material to produce an aliphatic polyester copolymer and a method for producing the polymer, as well as to provide the aliphatic polyester copolymer containing the lactic acid polymer and a molded product. SOLUTION: This lactic acid polymer, when measured for proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectrum using heavy chloroform as a solvent, has a number average molecular weight of ≥500 calculated from an integrated intensity ratio of signals which appear at 5.2 ppm and 4.4 ppm; and has the integrated intensity of ≤0.003 of the signal which appears at 2.5 ppm, provided that the integrated intensity of the signal at 5.2 ppm is 1. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve light resistance in a thin wall part in a light-resistant member having the thin wall part and to enhance long-term reliability. SOLUTION: Liquid crystalline polyester in the thin wall part includes structural units represented by the following formula (1), (2), and (3). Assuming that the total of bivalent aromatic groups Ar 1 , Ar 2 , and Ar 3 included in formula (1), (2), and (3) is 100 mol%, 25 mol% or more of 2, 6-naphthalenediyl group is included. The flow start temperature is 280°C or higher. The formulae are as follows: (1)-O-Ar 1 -CO-, (2)-CO-Ar 2 -CO-, and (3)-O-Ar 3 -O-, wherein Ar 1 represents one or more groups selected from the group consisting of 2, 6-naphthalenediyl group, 1, 4-phenylene group, and 4, 4'-biphenylene group; and Ar 2 and Ar 3 each independently represents one or more groups selected from the group consisting of 2, 6-naphthalenediyl group, 1, 4-phenylene group, 1, 3-phenylene group, and 4, 4'-biphenylene group. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve weather resistance and to increase heat resistance in a tank made of a resin. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal polyester of a tank body 2 includes structural units represented by formula (1):-O-Ar 1 -CO-, formula (2):-CO-Ar 2 -CO- and formula (3):-O-Ar 3 -O- (Ar 1 is one or more groups selected from the group consisting of 2,6-naphthalenediyl, 1,4-phenylene and 4,4'-biphenylene; Ar 2 and Ar 3 are each independently one or more groups selected from the group consisting of 2,6-naphthalenediyl, 1,4-phenylene, 1,3-phenylene and 4,4'-biphenylene). When the total of the bifunctional aromatic groups Ar 1 , Ar 2 and Ar 3 is 100 mol%, the amount of 2,6-naphthalenediyl group is ≥40 mol%.
