PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive component for giving a cured relief pattern having a high resolution on copper or a copper alloy as a coat film useful for producing an electric/electronic material, a pattern forming method using the photosensitive resin component, and a semiconductor device having a pattern of polyimide formed by the pattern forming method. SOLUTION: The photosensitive resin component includes 0.01 to 20 pts.mass of at least one phenol compound selected from a group composed of (A) 100 pts.mass of polyimide precursor having a methachroyl oxyalkyl radical at a side chain, (B) 1 to 40 pts.mass of photosensitive agent and (C) a compound having a structure expressed by a general formula (3). PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an alkali negative development type photosensitive resin composition less liable to swell in alkali development and excellent in properties of a pattern, adhesiveness to a substrate, crosslinking efficiency, reactivity and compatibility after development, to produce a pattern by polyimide patterning by development with an inexpensive aqueous alkali solution and to provide electronic parts each having the pattern and excellent in reliability. SOLUTION: The photosensitive resin composition contains (a) a photosensitive polyimide precursor having a reactive unsaturated functional group in its molecular chain and soluble in an aqueous alkali solution, (b) an addition polymerizable compound containing a reactive unsaturated functional group and not containing an atom having a non-shared electron pair in its principal skeleton except the reactive unsaturated functional group and (c) a sensitizer.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new hybrid polymer optical alignment layer for inducing alignment of a liquid crystal medium. SOLUTION: This new hybrid polymer is prepared from at least one component selected from the group consisting of a monomer, a macromonomer and a polymer within the class composed of a polyimide, a polyamic acid and esters thereof, and at least one component selected from the group consisting of an addition monomer and a functional group-containing addition polymer, where these two components are covalently bonded to form a copolymer.
