Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling pests in and/or on a transformed crop without affecting the transformed crop different from usual natural crops. SOLUTION: This method for controlling pests in and/or the transformed crop is characterized by applying an agrochemical composition containing free form or agrochemically useful salt form of dinotefuran as an active ingredient, or an agrochemical composition containing free form or agrochemically useful salt form of dinotefuran as an active ingredient and processed with at least one of other substances in an easily treatable form to the pests or their environments. According to the method, desired effects such as reduction in an amount of dinotefuran expected to have insecticidal effects, expansion of insecticidal spectrum, improvement of crop growth rate, improvement of appearance as a crop commercial value, improvement of yield, and reduction of affection to useful organisms are developed. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of preventing pest damages of new plant seeds, stored grains, stored beans, stored fruits, stored vegetables, stored fodder, stored flowering plants, and exported or imported timbers, which is effective for multiple pathogenic microorganisms and pest insects while showing little toxicity to mammals and fishes by being applied to the plant seeds, the stored grains, the stored beans, the stored fruits, the stored vegetables, the stored fodder, the stored flowering plants, and the exported or imported timbers. SOLUTION: The method of preventing the pest damage includes applying a composition containing ethofenprox and at least one bactericidal compound as active ingredients, and further containing one or more neonicotinoid-based compounds as active ingredients to the plant seeds, the stored grains, the stored beans, the stored fruits, the stored vegetables, the stored fodder, the stored flowering plants, and the exported or imported timbers.
