    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel-supplying device that can use a power switching element with a small capacity in the drive circuit of a brushless motor. SOLUTION: An impeller for supplying fuel to an engine through rotation, and at the same time a three-phase brushless motor being connected to the impeller are provided in a casing. In the casing, a drive circuit 23 is placed and power MOS transistors 36, 37, 38, 40, 41, and 42 are connected to stator coils 30-32 in parallel. The drive circuit 23 allows the power MOS transistors 36, 37, 38, 40, 41, and 42 to be turned on and off, based on the position detection of the magnet rotor of the brushless motor for generating a rotating magnetic field. Current flowing through the power MOS transistors 36-38 and 40-42 becomes the half of a rated current I of the stator coils 30-32.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel pump whose fuel discharge quantity can be regulated through a simple method and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The thickness of a housing 11 is set up so that in a state where an auxiliary housing 50 is not attached, the magnetic circuit of a motor section 30 may be magnetically saturated in the housing 11. The fuel discharge quantity of the fuel pump 10 is measured in the state where the auxiliary housing 50 is not attached, and this measurement value is compared with the required discharge quantity, and the auxiliary housing 50 whose plate thickness is selected so as to approach the desired discharge quantity is attached to the outer periphery of the housing 11 to increase the thickness of the whole of the housing for increasing effective magnetic fluxes ϕ and lowering the number of revolutions N. As a result, the fuel discharge quantity of the fuel pump 10 excessive in comparison with the required discharge quantity decreases. Thus since the consumed electric power of the fuel pump 10 can be reduced, and the quantity of fuel returned to the fuel tank decreases, the vapor generation of the fuel can be controlled.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tank connector with reduced protruding amount to the outside a fuel tank. SOLUTION: A tank connector 20 is equipped with a connector main body 30, and a wire harness 50 disposed outside a fuel tank. By calking an outer peripheral pawl portion 32a, a falling-out of a resin member 35 outside the fuel tank is prevented, and by engaging the resin member 35 with an annular portion 33 the falling-off of the resin member 35 inside the fuel tank is prevented. The resin member 35 is molded integrally with resin, and a terminal 38 is insert molded. By crushing and crimping the crimp portions the tips of the wire harness 50 and the terminal 38 are connected electrically. The terminal 38 is folded in the vicinity of the resin member 35. Since the protruding amount of a calked portion of the terminal 38 and the wire harness 50 protruding outside the fuel tank are little, the connector main body fitted fuel tank can be installed with a small installation space.

An electric current actually flowing to the pump motor is detected by a step 55, and the electric current target value and a detected electric current value found by the step 55 are compared with each other by a following step 56. By a following step 58, in accordance with a difference between the electric current target value obtained by comparison and the detected electric current value, the supply electric current is feedback-controlled so as to eliminate the difference.

SOLUTION: In an evaporation fuel transpiration preventing device, a canister 22 housing an adsorber for adsorbing evaporation fuel volatilized in a fuel tank 11, and an evaporation fuel feeding means 23 for forcibly feeding evaporation fuel adsorbed in the canister 22 into an intake pipe 2 of an engine E are provided on the way of a purge passage 21 for communicating the fuel tank 11 and the intake pipe 2 of the engine E with each other. The evaporation fuel feeding means 23 is constituted of a fuel driven type purge pump to be driven by liquid fuel to be supplied from the fuel pump 12 to a fuel injection valve 14, a purge control valve for adjusting the flow rate of evaporation fuel flowing in the purge passage 21, and a bypass valve for changing the discharging amount of the purge pump.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent vibrating noise from fuel supply piping with a simple structure. SOLUTION: In the one end of a delivery pipe, a hollow screw 8 is tightened against a collector. The hollow screw 8 consists of a hollow screw body 14, and a pipe 15 fitted in the hollow screw 14 by means of press-fitting. The pipe 15, whose end part is in a closed condition by a plug body 20, is formed with a plurality of holes 16 whose hole diameter is 1.2mm or less at its side surface, which communicate the inside of the delivery pipe with the inside of the pipe 15. The total hole area of the holes 16 is larger than the inside cross-sectional area at the entrance part of the connector so as not to cause a pressure loss. Pulsation generated in the delivery pipe by reflected wave at the time of closing the valve of an injector serves as a resistor at the holes 16, a plurality of which are disposed at the pipe 15. Therefore, it becomes difficult for pulsation to be transmitted from the delivery pipe to fuel supply piping, thus it is possible to prevent vibrating noise from the fuel supply piping.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of a motor by suppressing the wear of a commutator, etc., without increasing the number of parts used in a fuel pump nor making the structure of a brush fitting structure complicated. SOLUTION: A fuel pump 100 is incorporated with a DC motor section 20 and a pump section 30 in a cylindrical casing 11. A pair of brushes 27a (27b) is brought into contact under pressure with the commutator 26 of the armature 24 of the motor section 20 by means of springs 28a (28b). It has been recognized empirically that the wearing speed of the commutator 26 by an anode-side brush is about trice as fast as that of the commutator 26 by a cathode-side brush. Therefore, the voltage drops which occur in the brushes can be reduced and the efficiency of the motor section can be improved by making the specific resistance of the anode-side brush lower than that of the cathode-side brush.
