SOLUTION: In the damage part including an irregular damage part with a raised part which is equal to or higher than 0.05 μm included inside, a square frame 8 is the smallest of square frames consisting of four edges in an axial direction and circumference direction of an inner ring 3 in the case of seeing the damage part from a direction vertical to a face including the damage part. An inside area A of the smallest square frame 8 and the maximum height B of the raised part in the square frame 8 are measured. Then, damage degree of fretting wear is calculated as (A×B) 1/3 . SOLUTION: In the electric power steering device, the assist output by an electric motor is transmitted to a steering mechanism of a vehicle via a reduction gear mechanism. In a driven gear of the reduction gear mechanism, a resin part consisting of a resin composition with gear teeth formed on an outer circumferential surface is integrated with the outer circumference of a metallic core tube. The driven gear is lubricated with the grease composition containing wax having the acid value of 6-30 mgKOH/g and the dropping point of 72-104°C at the rate of 2-12 mass% of the entire amount of the grease. SOLUTION: The electric power steering device transmits an auxiliary output by an electric motor to a steering mechanism of a vehicle via a reduction gear mechanism comprising a worm 8 and a worm wheel 7. The worm wheel comprises a metallic core pipe and a resin section integrated with this. Gear teeth 202 are formed on the outer periphery of the resin section. An engaging section of the worm with the worm wheel is lubricated with grease composition. The relation of shearing rate X(s -1 ) to apparent viscosity Y(Pas) at 25°C of the grease composition is within a region sandwiched by two curves expressed by Y=492.01×X -0.9713 and Y=421.19×X -0.5063 .
