PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating grease composition for a ball bearing with a low coefficient of friction and long acoustic service life. SOLUTION: The lubricating grease composition containing base oil and a urea compound used as a thickener is sealed in the ball bearing. The base oil contains 50-100wt.% of a carbonate compound based upon overall weight of the base oil, the carbonate compound is represented by formula 1 of R 1 -O-CO-OR 2 (in the formula, R 1 and R 2 individually represents a 6-30C saturated or unsaturated straight or branched alkyl group), and an amount of the urea compound is 3-30wt.% based upon overall weight of the grease composition. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grease composition which maintains the performance over a long period even in use in a high temperature environment and in a vacuum atmosphere, a roller bearing, and a vacuum pump. SOLUTION: The vacuum pump 1 is constituted of a rotor 2 provided with a number of moving blades 2a on the outer circumference and a number of stationary blades 3a on the internal circumference and a cylindrical casing 3 in which the rotor 2 is housed. The rotor 2 is supported on the casing 3 through a roller bearing 4. A grease composition is sealed within the roller bearing 4. SOLUTION: The grease base oil for a bearing comprises an ester compound obtained by an esterification reaction of pentaerythritol and a carboxylic acid.
