PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a processed food of myoglobin-containing lean fish meat for eating raw, suppressed in flavor deterioration in long period preservation at a normal freezing temperature zone of about -18 to -25°C with an easy and safe means, and presenting favorable fresh red color at the time of actually appreciating the food after thawing in spite of the progress of discoloration of meat color during freezing preservation. SOLUTION: This processed food of myoglobin-containing lean fish meat is obtained by sealedly packaging myoglobin-containing lean fish meat for eating raw in a condition of containing a reducing agent, using an oxygen unpermeable packaging material, and freeze treating the product. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject safe agent excellent in effects, comprising lactulose as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This agent comprises lactulose as an active ingredient. Lactulose is obtained, for example, by a method for adding an acid or a milk-clotting enzyme to a lactose solution, a mammalian milk or a skimmed milk, removing a formed coagulum from the solution and adding an alkali agent such as calcium hydroxide to the residual aqueous solution. A cow's milk is preferable as the mammalian milk. Economically, a skimmed milk or whey is used as the raw material. Lactulose on the market is conveniently used. The objective agent is administered, for example, in a dose of 1-6,000mg/kg weight daily dividedly twice to three times. When the agent is added to a feed and is applied to fishes in a juvenile stage, preventive effects are obtained. In this case, the amount of lactulose is preferably 0.01-5wt.%. The objective agent is applicable, for example, to an infectious disease of Rod shaped virus Penaeus japonicus of prawn.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a preventing and treating agent for infectious disease of crustaceans and fishes capable of replacing an antibiotic, having safe and excellent effect and useful for prevention and treatment of infectious disease of Rod shaped virus-Penaeus japonicus of Penaeus japonicus, etc., by using an oligosaccharide as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This preventing and treating agent for infectious disease of crustaceans and fishes includes an oligosaccharide without lactulose as an active ingredient. A fructo-oligosaccharide, a galacto-oligosaccharide, a xylo- oligosacharide are preferably used as the oligosaccharide. The oligosaccharide is preferably administrated in a daily dose of 1-300mg/kg body weight in 2-3 divided potions in terms of the dried oligosaccharide and is preferably added to, mixed with and wetted with a feed in 0.01-5wt.% based on the total feed. The preventing and treating agent is effective for yellow heading of Penaeus monodon, Vibrio infectious disease of Penaeus monodon, Vibrio infectious disease of Penaeus japonicus, etc.

PURPOSE: To obtain an artificial formula feed, containing pectin, having shape retaining properties and capable of promoting the growth of snails and effectively utilizing a juice marc which contains the pectin and has been discarded in a juice factory, etc. CONSTITUTION: This artificial formula feed contains pectin. The feed is obtained by mixing, e.g. the pectin with other feed raw materials, then hydrating and pasting the resultant mixture, subsequently forming the paste into the shape of pellets, then immersing the formed pellets in a calcium chloride solution, etc., and gelatinizing the pellets. The amount of the added pectin is preferably 1-50wt.%. A material containing the pectin such as an apple juice marc may be used. A material having >=10% pectin content is preferred as the material containing the pectin. Furthermore, the feed can be applied to snails which are objects of culture, e.g. Haliotis discus hannai Ino, Notohaliotis discus Reeve or Turbo cornutus Solander.

CONSTITUTION:This feed for fishes contains 0.01-20% lactosucrose which is an oligosaccharide, expressed by the formula and produced by using lactose and sucrose as raw materials and reacting a beta-fructofuranosidase capable of transferring the lactose of sucrose to the glucose side of the lactose therewith.
