PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stable, cost effective metallic nanoparticles that are used as a catalyst for electroless metal plating.SOLUTION: The composition includes the metallic nanoparticle encapsulated by an amine oxide containing the general formula, wherein R1 represents unsubstituted 14-30C alkyl, R2 and R3 are same or different and unsubstituted 1-6C alkyl. The metallic nanoparticle is selected from Ag, Au, Pt, In, Rb, Ru, Rh, Os, Ir, Cu, Co, Ni, and Fe.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for sulfurizing a hydrocarbon processing catalyst in fields of oil purification and petrochemistry. SOLUTION: The method for sulfurizing the hydrocarbon processing catalyst is characterized by: accumulating one or more auxiliary sulfurizing agents shown by formula (I) (wherein R 1 and R 2 can be the same or different from each other and are each a hydrogen atom or a straight-chain or branched-chain, saturated or unsaturated 1-30C hydrocarbon-based group which does not include any aromatic ring) on the surface of the hydrocarbon processing catalyst; and bringing the resulting hydrocarbon processing catalyst into contact with a sulfur-containing gaseous mixture including hydrogen and a sulfur compound to sulfurize the resulting hydrocarbon processing catalyst.
