Abstract:
This device comprises a sprayer (10) and a reservoir (9) for feeding the sprayer with fluid. The reservoir (9) defines a cylindrical housing (L9) in which there slides (F1) a piston (91) forming a moving wall (91a) for a storage volume (V9) for storing the coating fluid. The housing (L9) is defined by a jacket (92) placed in a support-forming body (95). The jacket (92) has an end wall (93) co-operating with the peripheral wall (96) of the jacket (92) and with the piston (91), to define the above-mentioned storage volume (V9). No interstice are present in which the coating fluid could accumulate, thereby making the reservoir (9) easier to clean.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the quantity of paint to be disposed when the inside of a paint cartridge is cleaned for changing color, and to simplify the cleaning of a coating machine body. SOLUTION: When the paint cartridge 10 is cleaned, air and a cleaning liquid are supplied through an upper end opening 12 of a paint bag 12 in a squashed state and thereby the paint bag 12 is expanded. Accompanying the expansion of the paint bag 12, the operating liquid in a tightly closed space 14 (operating liquid chamber) of the paint cartridge 10 is recovered through an operating liquid discharge path 26 in the cartridge. In the next step, the paint bag 12 is squashed by supplying the operating liquid to the operating liquid chamber (the tightly closed space 14) of the paint cartridge 10 under pressure through an operating liquid supply path 22 in the paint cartridge which is different from the operating liquid discharge path 26 to discharge the cleaning liquid form a lower end opening 12c of the paint bag 12. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the washing process of a rotation atomization electrostatic coating machine which is capable of effectively controlling the wear of the rotation spraying head even if the coating including a pigment with high hardness is used. SOLUTION: In the washing process which washes the residual coating in a coating pathway by alternately supplying washing air and washing solution in this order or opposite order to the coating pathway through which the coating is supplied to the rotation spraying head, the supply time for supplying the washing solution to the coating pathway at first (B pattern) is lengthened more than that of the standard (A pattern) or the pressure of the washing air supplied to the coating pathway at first is reduced more (C pattern) than that of the standard when the hardness of the pigment included in the coating to be washed is high. The wear of the center cone is controlled by reducing the amount of the remaining coating at the coating pathway in the case of B pattern, and by reducing the speed of the coating at which the washing air impinges to the center cone in the case of C pattern.
