PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel kiln capable of elongating a life of refractory lining and is easily maintained even when tar is produced in a furnace in a degreasing process of organic components contained in a body to be sintered, and to provide a method of manufacturing a sintered body using the tunnel kiln.SOLUTION: A tunnel kiln includes: a tunnel kiln body having a degreasing zone and a sintering zone, in which the degreasing and sintering of a body to be sintered containing organic components are respectively performed, and having an inner wall comprising the refractory lining; a conveyance means which conveys the body to be sintered toward the outlet side from the inlet side of the tunnel kiln body; and a lining disposed so as to cover at least the inner wall of the degreasing zone on the inner wall of the tunnel kiln body.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for efficiently and inexpensively producing a recycled carbon fiber with superior handleability by using carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) as a raw material, and to provided a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The apparatus for producing the recycled carbon fiber comprises: a carbonization and dry distillation furnace 101 that includes a box-shaped body part 105, a carbonization and dry distillation chamber 102 for storing CFRP 40 therein, a combustion chamber 103 provided with a burner 104 and a heating chamber 115 formed in a space between the body part 105 and the carbonization and dry distillation chamber 102; and a continuous furnace 26 that continuously heats CFRP 25 after dry distillation to remove a part of fixed carbon. The carbonization and dry distillation furnace 101 of the apparatus for producing the recycled carbon fiber has a steam generator 105 that supplies steam with 100°C or higher but 700°C or lower to the carbonization and dry distillation chamber 102.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical heat treatment method of high production efficiency and heat efficiency by solving problems with in-furnace rail type and hearth-roller type batch furnaces. SOLUTION: A heat treatment furnace has a pre-heating chamber 3, a heat treatment chamber 4 and a soaking chamber 5 via partition doors 1 and 2 inside a straight furnace body, and independently-driven hearth rollers 6, 7 and 8 are provided in the chambers 3, 4 and 5. When a work W is heat-treated, the hearth roller 7 in the heat treatment chamber 4 is stopped, and preferably, the hearth rollers 6 and 8 in the pre-heating chamber 3 and the soaking chamber 4 are rotated in the forward direction and the reverse direction to oscillate the work W. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reduction treatment, such as control of the size of an iron nugget, control of micro-nugget formation and control of sulfur content in an iron nugget, in production of a metallic iron nugget.SOLUTION: A method and system for producing metallic nuggets includes providing reducible mixture (e.g., reducible micro-agglomerates; reducing material and reducible iron bearing material; reducible mixture including additives such as a fluxing agent; compacts, etc.) on at least a portion of a hearth material layer. In one embodiment, a plurality of channel openings extend at least partially through a layer of the reducible mixture to define a plurality of nugget forming reducible material regions. Such channel openings may be at least partially filled with nugget separation fill material (e.g., carbonaceous material). Thermally treating the layer of reducible mixture results in formation of one or more metallic iron nuggets.
