摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a conversion ratio into N2 and to decrease a conversion ratio into SO3 by making a carrier support a catalyst component, a metal the first ionization potential of which is greater than that of vanadium, and the second catalyst component of the metal. SOLUTION: In order to decrease the adsorption of sulfur dioxide (SO) by two-coordinate lattice oxygen (O3) or in order to decrease the charge of the two-coordinate lattice oxygen (O3), on a carrier comprising titanium oxide, a catalyst component containing 1-3% in weight ratio of vanadium pentaoxide (V2 O5) as a main component and the second catalyst component comprising 1-3% in weight ratio of a metal such as Cr, Zr, Nb, Ac, Hf, Mo, Te, Bi, Sn, Ru, Pb, Mn,..., Ta, W, Pd, and Zn the first ionization potential of which is greater than that of vanadium (V) or its oxide are made to be supported.

摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyet which can be supplied in a large quantity as that for detoxifying pollutants by decomposition instead of adsorption. SOLUTION: The charcoal powder of burned carbide produced by burning ceder wood at 300-800 deg.C is immersed in a metal salt solution such as a copper nitrate solution and a nickel nitrate solution or a metal alkoxide solution of Ti(OC3H7)4 Fe(C5H7O2)3 and others, and dried by a constant temperature drier to obtain raw material powder. A catalyst for decomposing/detoxifying pollutants obtained by packing the raws material powder in a mold and sintering the powder at 2500 deg.C by the electric discharge between powder particles while the powder being pressurized under reduced pressure. In this way, the sintered charcoal produced by sintering the charcoal powder demonstrates a reducing function, and the function is further strengthened by microcrystal metal particles dispersed in the fine structure of the sintered charcoal so that pollutants in air or water are reduced/decomposed to be detoxified.

摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an exhaust gas purifying catalyst having high catalyst activity and disposable by incineration when it becomes spent, provide its manufacturing method, its disposing method and a method for purifying exhaust gas by using the catalyst. SOLUTION: This exhaust gas purifying catalyst is obtained by applying a catalyst component to rectangular or square polyimide-based combustible felt and depositing it. The catalyst component contains a first component consisting of at least one kind selected from titania, silica, alumina and silica- alumina and a second component consisting of at least one metal oxide selected from vanadium oxide, tungsten oxide and molybdenum oxide. The exhaust gas purifying method comprises contacting the catalyst at 170-190 deg.C with the exhaust gas after dust is removed at 140-200 deg.C to remove harmful component in the exhaust gas. The catalyst disposing method comprises throwing the spent catalyst into an incineration furnace or a melting furnace of the refuse incineration facilities being the exhaust gas emitting source to incinerate or melt it at 1,000-1,300 deg.C.
