PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a used paper weighing device in a small-sized apparatus for recycling used paper which can easily and accurately weigh used paper and can reduce the cost.SOLUTION: A used paper weighing device is used in a small-sized apparatus for recycling used paper in which a step of producing used paper pulp and a step of making paper from the used paper pulp are carried out, and has an inner housing member 9 for housing used paper, an outer housing member 8 for housing the member, a tray 10 for mounting the inner housing member and used paper, a guide member 11 fixed to the inner housing member, and a load cell 13 for detecting the weight of used paper and fixing the tray and a shaft 14. The used paper weighing device in the small-sized apparatus for recycling used paper is characterized in that, when the tray and the load cell are lowered and inclined, a groove part provided on the guide member and an upper end of the outer housing member engage to stop lowering the inner housing member and the guide member, and when the tray and the load cell are risen and inclined, the tray lifts up the inner housing member and/or the guide member.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weight measuring apparatus and a weight measuring method capable of performing highly accurate weight measurement by comparatively inexpensive constitution.SOLUTION: In the weight measuring apparatus, while vibrating paper sheets, the paper sheets are conveyed by a conveyance part, the weight of the paper sheets in conveyance is detected by a sensor, sensor outputs are sampled in a predetermined period and discretized by an A/D conversion part, and a plurality of discretized signals are statistically processed and averaged by an operation part to calculate the weight of the paper sheets.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metering device accurately metering and supplying short fibers such as steel fibers, and a method for supplying short fibers using the device. SOLUTION: After the short fibers 1 are supplied to the metering device 5 from a continuous feeder 3, the quantity of the short fibers 1 is minutely adjusted to obtain a preset predetermined value while accurately measuring the weight of the short fibers 1 by the metering device 5. The short fibers 1 adjusted to the predetermined value are supplied to a concrete kneader 6 to manufacture concrete containing the short fibers 1. The metering device 5 for measuring the short fibers 1 includes a container 7 for storing the short fibers 1 supplied from the continuous feeder 3; a movable door 8 opening/closing a lower end opening 13 of the container 7; and a measuring instrument 9 for measuring the weight of the short fibers 1 supplied into the container 7. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve grammage detection accuracy of a grammage detection sensor wherein an ultrasonic wave transmitting part transmits ultrasonic wave for a recording medium and a confronting ultrasonic receiving part detects ultrasonic wave transmitted through the recording medium. SOLUTION: By setting the length of a guide attached to the grammage detection sensor used to detect grammage of the recording medium P to integral multiple of one-half wavelength of the ultrasonic wave, stable ultrasonic wave can be radiated. By transmitting the stable ultrasonic wave, stable calculation output can be obtained regardless of a stop posture of the recording medium and thus the grammage detection accuracy of the recording medium P can be improved. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yarn weight measuring device capable of continuously measuring the weight of each yarn continuously for a plurality of times for a plurality of pieces of yarn, and to provide a yarn count measuring device having the yarn weight measuring device. SOLUTION: The yarn weight measuring device includes: a retainer capable of retaining a plurality of pieces of yarn; an identifying device for identifying the retained yarn; a cutting device for cutting the identified yarn for feeding to a gravimeter; and the gravimeter for measuring the weight of the cut yarn. Also, the identifying device, cutting device, and gravimeter can be repeatedly operated on the yarn retained by the retainer in this order, and the cutting device and the gravimeter can be repeatedly operated in this order, thus measuring the weight of a plurality of pieces of yarn and that of single yarn for a plurality of times and hence reducing the work load of a measurement worker.
