摘要: A probe provides one end of an electrically conductive path with a ground stake defining a second end. The probe is supported on a tip of a cable rotatably supported by a snake, with the snake including a conductor routed toward the ground stake. A spool can optionally be located between the conductor and the ground stake. A voltage source and a current sensor are located upon said electrically conductive path. The probe is fed by action of the snake along an underground pipe to be scanned. The current sensor senses current flow between the probe within the underground pipe and the ground stake. Analysis of the current flowing in this electric circuit allows for determining if underground pipe material includes lead, based at least partially on electrical conductivity of pipe segments through which the probe passes.

摘要: Lights or other accessories can be mounted through a mount hole of an adapter plate which is pivotably supported upon a base. The base is attachable to an underlying structure, such as a motor vehicle, through bores passing through lateral wings thereof, or through bores in an angled flange thereof. The base includes a cylindrical body with an upper face. A central recess extends down into a center of the cylindrical body, located at a center of the upper face. The adapter plate includes a cylindrical extension which fits within the cylindrical recess. A series of holes surround the central recess in the upper face of the base. A set pin of the adapter plate is biased toward extending down from the adapter plate to reside within one of the holes in the upper face, to hold the adapter plate in one of multiple rotationally spaced positions.

摘要: An ionization chamber is provided with a series of parallel plates spaced from each other and with holes passing therethrough. Alternating plates have either a highest high voltage or a lower high voltage provided thereto, such as through a DC transformer coupled to an electric power source. Holes in alternating plates are preferably offset so that airflow through the plates occurs along curving pathways. The plates are sufficiently highly charged to cause carbon dioxide to be ionized and for carbon ions to become trapped within wells defining lowest regions of electric charge within an electric field inside the ionization chamber. Fans control airflow through the ionization chamber. A dehumidifier is provided upstream of the ionization chamber to reduce moisture content within the incoming gas. After the carbon has collected within the wells, harvesting of the carbon ions as carbon nano particle powder can occur within a carbon cache.

摘要: An outer base of annular form surrounds an open space. The base includes a magnet for attachment of the outer base to a rear of a smartphone. A center ring surrounds the open space. This ring has a bearing on an outside edge which rotates relative to a race on an inner edge of the base, allowing the center ring to rotate relative to the base. A pair of ears extend radially inwardly into this open space, with the ears attached either to the ring or base. The ears are sized and spaced apart an appropriate distance to allow one ear to lift a crimped edge of a bottle cap while the other ear rests upon a top of the bottle cap. A loop is pivotably attached to the center ring and provides a stand or a finger loop or allows a smartphone to be suspended from a hook.

摘要: A vial and system are configured to simplify fluid input and extraction therefrom. The vial has a first end opposite a second end and with a collapsible sidewall. The sidewall can be collapsed, such as by imparting a differential pressure between an interior and exterior of the vial, for simplified fluid extraction and smooth extraction without disturbing boundaries between separated components. The vial typically has a bulb at a first end and a neck extending away from the bulb and toward the second end. An inlet spaced from the first end can be configured to attach to various different interfaces or processing elements for input and output of fluids. A support cup can be provided for use with the vial during centrifugation to allow the vial to withstand any centrifugation forces. Various fluid processing methodologies are supported by the collapsible vial, especially including methods of separation of components of blood.

摘要: A wine bottle is provided with a punt at a lower end which includes a cork retainer therein. A cork can thus be stored within the cork retainer. In one embodiment, the cork retainer includes two retainer surfaces which are opposing each other horizontally, and spaced apart by a length similar to opposing portions of the cork to allow the cork to fit tightly between these retainer surfaces. Space above the retainer surfaces can hold a foil wrap with the cork within the cork retainer and holding the foil wrap in place. Full re-use of the bottle is thus facilitated. In one embodiment, the bottle has an octagonal shape so that multiple bottles can be shipped together and placed adjacent each other with flat surfaces distributing loads therebetween, without forces concentrated at points thereof, and to keep the bottles in good shape for washing, refilling and re-use.
