    摘要: An apparatus is provided for widening the woven conductive sheath that Surround a shielded cable. The apparatus includes opposed punches that move into Contact with the exposed conductive sheath. Forces exerted by the punches are Sufficient to cause the extreme end of the exposed conductive sheath to be flared outwardly. The punches may be moved circumferentially around the wire for successive punching operations to achieve a uniform flaring. The punches also may be moved axially further away from the flared end to perform a second series of punches to flare the conductive sheath even further. The flared conductive sheath then can be folded over the insulating sheath.

The pressuring unit is equipped with a plural number of pressure members for crimping the terminal fittings. The plural number of pressure members are unified in one frame body. The frame body is designed such that can be taken off and put on as one unit from the shank. By having only one motion for putting on and taking off the frame body, the plural number of pressuring members, including the crimpers, can be maintained as one unit.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method for producing an optically active 4-[.alpha.-hydro-5-(1-imidazolyl)-2-methylbenzyl]-3,5-dimethylbenzoic acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, which includes subjecting a compound of the formula (I) ##STR1## wherein each symbol in the formula is as defined in the specification, to optical resolution by fractional crystallization to give an optically active compound thereof and subjecting the compound to hydrolysis reaction. According to this method, a resolution method useful for industrial large-scale production of the optically active compound of 4-[.alpha.-hydroxy-5-(1-imidazolyl)-2-methylbenzyl]-3,5-dimethylbenzoic acid, which is useful as a thromboxane synthetase inhibitor and an agent for the prophylaxis and treatment of diabetic complications, can be obtained.
