    Abstract: In order to reduce a cost with a simple configuration, a covering article includes a liquid diffusive sheet having a property of diffusing absorbed liquid, a moisture-permeable film laminated on the liquid diffusive sheet, and a plurality of elastic members joined to at least one of the liquid diffusive sheet or the moisture-permeable film and arranged substantially in parallel. A pair of opposing side edges are joined such that the plurality of elastic members are substantially annular. The liquid diffusive sheet is positioned closer to a skin of a user than the moisture-permeable film when the user wears the covering article, and the substantially annular elastic members press a wearing site of the user.

    Abstract: A fiber sheet having both a bulky feel and softness is provided. A fiber sheet (1) is provided with a surface sheet layer (5) and a softness imparting layer (6). The fiber sheet (1) is subjected to embossing and a binder is applied to the fiber sheet (1). The softness imparting layer (6) is constituted by a plurality of fibers; and the fibers exist densely in a compressed state in a region of a boundary face between the surface sheet layer (5) and the softness imparting layer (6). Additionally, the surface sheet layer (5) is a paper material formed from pulp paper or a material including pulp as a principal raw material; and the softness imparting layer (6) is formed from crushed pulp or a material including crushed pulp as a principal raw material. Furthermore, the surface sheet layer (5) is manufactured by a paper making process; and the softness imparting layer (6) is formed by laminating crushed pulp along a flow of an airflow on a surface of the surface sheet. Moreover, depressions are formed via the embossing and, thereafter, the binder is applied.

    Abstract: Provided is a multi-ply sheet production method and a multi-ply sheet production device for producing a multi-ply sheet which uses an elastic member, exhibits stretchability, and has reduced residual strain. The multi-ply sheet production method includes forming a multi-ply sheet by joining a first fibrous sheet, and a second fibrous sheet including a material containing a cellulose-based component, with an elastic member interposed therebetween, the elastic member being in a stretched state and coated with an adhesive on peripheral surface, and then heat-treating the multi-ply sheet at a temperature in accordance with the thermal characteristics of the adhesive.
