Abstract:
A door closer assembly and method of making the assembly, in which the closing force is exerted by at least one closing spring. The door closer assembly comprises a housing, a rotor journalled in said housing to deliver torque, and at least one piston apparatus, wherein said housing, said rotor, and said at least one piston apparatus are comprised of the same material of construction and exhibit at least substantially the same thermal expansion coefficient.
Abstract:
A door closer includes a housing; a shaft supported in the housing and connectable to a door; a brake piston supported in the housing and charging the shaft, the brake piston and the housing defining a first space away from the shaft; a blocking member; a spring loading the blocking member and extending orthogonally from the housing; and a pump for pumping brake fluid to or from the first space. The pump is disposed in a second space formed between the housing and the spring. The shaft is lockable in a position by the blocking member.
Abstract:
Door closer with a spring system that must be stretched when the door is open and supplies the closing moment necessary to close the door. There is provided a gear train between the spring system and the door to influence the force curve which varies over the opening angle of the door, whereby the gear train that varies in its translation ratio over the opening angle of the door has a first and a second gear wheel that mesh with each other and are each formed by a circular gear rim and are mounted eccentrically with respect to their centers while retaining the axial distance between them. The first gear wheel is connected with an output shaft and the second gear wheel is connected coaxially with respect to its center of motion with a gear wheel that is engaged in a rack that is coupled with the spring system. The axis of rotation of the output shaft runs through the center of motion of the first gear wheel, and all of the above elements are arranged so that the eccentricity e of the gear wheels that results from the center of a gear wheel and the center of motion is point-symmetric to their pitch point.
Abstract:
A door which can be automatically opened and closed can have an additional releasable connection for allowing the door panels to be manually opened by disengaging the door panels from the device for automatically opening and closing the doors. In particular, two-panel doors which execute a combined sliding and rotational motion around a vertical axis of rotation during the closing and opening motion can be configured with such a device to make it possible to use the doors in evacuation and emergency routes, i.e. routes in which a manual force can be applied from inside to open the door panels. Further, so that the door does not remain open, there can also preferably be switches or circuits in the construction which indicate that a manual opening of the door panels has occurred, in which case an electronic signal can be generated to place the drive device in motion, to thereby automatically restore the connection between the door panels and the drive system.
Abstract:
The detector of the invention relates to the field of X or gamma photon detection. It is particularly adapted as a measuring chamber in conventional radiology and as a detector in scanography. It comprises at least one transformer for transforming X or gamma photons into light photons and at least one transformer for transforming light photons into electric signals representative of the energy of the incident X or gamma photons. The transformer for transforming X or gamma photons into light photons comprises a photoconducting layer and an electroluminescent layer between two electrodes which are brought to a biasing potential. The transfer electrode may be formed by a Schottky barrier. The transformer for transforming light photons into signals comprises a photosensitive layer, as a photovoltaic cell, on a substrate.
Abstract:
Revolving door Comprising two stationary drum walls that are located diametrically opposite one another and with entrances and exits located therebetween, wherein the drum walls are attached to a ceiling construction covered by a front strip, wherein the drum walls and/or rotating leaf and/or a center rotating part to which the rotating leaves are attached are/is provided with profiles and panes of glass are held in the profiles, wherein lighting means are provided at least in one or more of the profiles.
Abstract:
Automatic sliding door with at least one displaceable leaf which is operatively coupled to a driving motor so that the door leaf/leaves can be opened and closed. Each leaf has a frame comprising profiles in which a pane of glass is held, and a light source provided in at least one of the profiles, the light source being supplied with electrical energy by a power supply.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a fastening device for an insulating glass panel. A punctiform holder (1) is used that is fastened by means of an adhesive (51) to the outside of the insulating glass plate (50). In the vicinity of the punctiform holder (1), a spacer piece (53) is inserted between the separated glass plates (2, 50). The invention further relates to a mounting element (5) with adjustable bias, whereby between a cap bell (10) and the mounting element (5) there is a permanently elastic spring element (7) that permits a relative movement of the cap bell (10) with respect to the mounting element (5). The invention further relates to the realization of a plurality of three-dimensional articulations (12, 13) between the insulating glass plate (2, 50) and the holder on the building side.
