    摘要： A hindered piperidine compound represented by the formula of ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is a 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl group of which the N-position is substituted or not, a hydrogen atom, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.18 arylalkyl group which may contain a cyclic portion, or a C.sub.7 -C.sub.18 arylalkyl group, R.sup.2 is a hydrogen atom, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 alkyl group which may contain a cyclic portion, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.18 alkyloxy group which may contain a cyclic portion, or a hydroxyl group, and n is an integer of 2 to 8, effectively stabilizes organic materials having a property to deteriorate by the action of light. A method for producing the compound represented by the above formula is also disclosed.

    摘要： A hydroxyphenylpropionic ester represented by the formula of ##STR1## which has a crystal structure showing a sharp X-ray diffraction peak at a diffraction angle 2.theta.=7.9.degree. by X-ray diffraction measurement using an X-ray of a Cu-K.sub..alpha. wavelength. This novel crystal exhibits largely advantageous effects in industrial production and usage of the ester because of its high purity, high quality, excellent filterability owing to the large crystal growth, and excellent fluidity owing to the large bulk specific gravity.

    摘要： A compound represented by the formula of ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents an alkyl having 1 to 5 carbon atoms;R.sub.2 represents an alkyl having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, an alkenyl having 2 to 5 carbon atoms, an aralkyl having 7 to 9 carbon atoms, phenyl, an aliphatic acyl having 2 to 5 carbon atoms, or benzoyl;R.sub.3 represents hydrogen or an alkyl having 1 to 11 carbon atoms; andR.sub.4 represents hydrogen or methyl.The compound is useful as a stabilizer for synthetic resins such as butadiene polymers. The butadiene polymer containing the compound is stable against thermal deterioration in the absence of oxygen, as well as against thermal oxidative deeterioration and thermal oxidative discoloration.

    摘要： A process for producing granules of a 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-containing light stabilizer, which comprises mixing a 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-containing light stabilizer having a melting point of not less than 60.degree. C. with a lubricant selected from the group consisting of water and an aqueous solution of an alcohol having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and granulating the resultant mixture while pressure is applied thereto. The granular light stabilizer product has low dusting property and excellent free-flowing property.
