Abstract:
A tenant comprising one or more users receives services from a cloud computing system (“CCS”). The CCS determines when a tenant is not using any services, and if so, the CCS initiates a tenant suspension process. The tenant suspension process involves suspending various asynchronous computing processes for the tenant, which execute otherwise execute even if no users of the tenant are currently accessing the CCS. After a period of non-use of the CCS, the tenant is suspended. The tenant is returned to an active state automatically when a user of the tenant logs-on to receive services.
Abstract:
This disclosure relates to a table assembly, a jointed table, and a method of creating a clean interstice between adjacent tables. More particularly, this disclosure relates to the use of both male and female support connectors where the male connector includes a junction plate and the female connector includes a spacer and a holder plate to create a female connector space. In another embodiment, silicone joints and industrial grade stainless steel plate are used. A method of creating a clean joint by depositing silicone in an interstice between adjacent tables is also disclosed.
Abstract:
The invention is for safety goggles to protect eyes of a user of the safety goggles. The safety goggles include a lens and a frame with a bridge. A goggle chamber is formed between the lens and the face of the user. The safety goggles have a lower ventilation assembly that admits air one either side of the bridge. The safety goggles also includes an upper ventilation assembly at an upper portion of the frame. Air enters the goggle chamber through the lower ventilation assembly, heats near a nose of the user and exits the goggle chamber through the upper ventilation assembly. Each of the lower and upper ventilation assemblies cover a corresponding lower and upper air path in such a manner that allows air to pass through the corresponding air path while preventing solid projectiles and splashed liquid from having a direct line of trajectory to the eyes of the user.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus is provided in a data processing system for securing access to particular files which are stored in a computer-accessible memory media. A file management program is provided as an operating system component of the data processing system. At least one encrypted file and at least one unencrypted file are stored in the computer-accessible memory media. An unencrypted security stub is associated with each of the encrypted files. The security stub is at least partially composed of executable code. The file management program is utilized to monitor data processing calls for a called file stored in the computer-accessible memory media. The file management program determines what the called file has an associated unencrypted security stub. The called file is processed in a particular manner dependent upon whether or not the called file has an associated unencrypted security stub.

Abstract:
A fluid dispenser and method of operating the same. The fluid dispenser can include a wheel driven by diluent passing along a flow path in the fluid dispenser. The wheel can be connected to a pump to pump fluid from a reservoir for dispense into the diluent. In some embodiments, the ratio of wheel rotations to pump cycles is selected to provide a desired and repeatable dilution ratio of concentrated fluid to diluent. The fluid dispenser can be portable and/or disposable, and in some embodiments is adapted for installation on an upper rim of a reservoir wall. Also, the fluid dispenser can be provided with a baffle limiting the velocity and impact of incoming diluent to the wheel driving the pump, thereby improving dosing accuracy of the dispenser in some embodiments.
Abstract:
Devices and methods for mixing a clotting agent with other inputs such as blood, blood derived product, bone marrow, and/or bone marrow derived product to form a congealed mixture.
Abstract:
A device for generating power to run an electronic component. The device includes a heat-conducting substrate (composed, e.g., of diamond or another high thermal conductivity material) disposed in thermal contact with a high temperature region. During operation, heat flows from the high temperature region into the heat-conducting substrate, from which the heat flows into the electrical power generator. A thermoelectric material (e.g., a BiTe alloy-based film or other thermoelectric material) is placed in thermal contact with the heat-conducting substrate. A low temperature region is located on the side of the thermoelectric material opposite that of the high temperature region. The thermal gradient generates electrical power and drives an electrical component.
