    Abstract: An electrical DC switching system for extinguishing an electric arc, wherein the electrical DC switching system includes: a contact arrangement having a first contact and a second contact, a current injection circuit including a resonance circuit configured to be connected across the contact arrangement, and a first switch connected to the resonance circuit and to the first contact, wherein the first switch is configured to be switched between an open state and a closed state, wherein in the closed state the first switch is configured to enable an injection current to flow through the resonance circuit in a first flow direction and into the contact arrangement in a direction opposite to a flow direction of a contact arrangement arc current, and an arc chute assembly including a plurality of splitter plates configured to extinguish an electric arc across the first contact and the second contact, wherein each splitter plate of the plurality of splitter plates has a layered configuration including a magnetic layer and two non-magnetic layers.

    Abstract: A self-disinfecting robot including an exterior surface. The robot includes at least one light emitting component arranged to illuminate at least a part of the exterior surface with disinfecting light from inside the robot. By projecting disinfecting light from the inside of the robot, one may provide a constant and complete disinfection of the exterior surface (or selected parts of it) e.g. during service or operation, including when the robot is moving around. The solution also allows disinfection of e.g. crevices that would also be difficult to disinfect from the outside. Furthermore, the robot may also, to some extent, treat the surrounding environment and in particular the airborne particles around the robot. The disclosure also relates to a corresponding method for disinfecting a robot, to a computer program and to a computer program product.

    Abstract: Electrical contact system with a first and a second contact (1, 5), each having a contact surface (4, 8). The first electric contact (1) has a mesostructured electric contact portion (14) with a plurality of slots (15) and ridges (16) formed between neighboring slots (16) of the plurality of slots (16). These slots (15) and ridges (16) extend in a direction running transversely to said switching plane (X-Z) form a plurality of current paths (16). The current paths (16) are inclined to the first contact surface (4) at a first angle (17) measuring less than 60 degrees such that an interruption current (12) flowing through the mesostructured electric contact portion (14) and through an electric arc (11) extending in between the first contact surface (4) after lifting the first contact surface (4) off the second contact surface (8) pushes said electric arc (11) in the direction of the apex of said first angle (17) from a first position (18) to a second position (19).
