    摘要: Polysiloxane sols preparable by subjecting (1) in a first stage (A) a silicon compound of the general formula I: (ZoL-)mSi(H)n(R)p  (I), which is free of carbamate groups and where o is an integer from 1 to 5; m is 0, 1, 2 or 3; n is an integer from 1 to 4; p is 0, 1 , 2 or 3; Z is a reactive functional group, excluding carbamate group; L is an at least divalent, linking, organic group; H is a hydrolyzable, monovalent, organic group or hydrolyzable atom; R is a nonhydrolyzable, monovalent, organic group; to partial hydrolysis and condensation in the presence (B) of at least one crosslinking agent, and then subjecting (2) in a further stage, the reaction mixture (1) to complete hydrolysis and condensation with (C) a hydrolyzable, carbamate-functional silicon compound of the general formula II: {[HR1N—(O)C—O—]rL-}sSi(H)t(R)u  (II) where R1 is a hydrogen atom or group R; r is an integer from 1 to 5; s is 1, 2 or 3; t is 1, 2 or 3; u 0, 1 or 2; and their use as coating materials, adhesives, and sealing compounds and also for producing optical moldings and self-supporting films.

    摘要: A process for hydrogenating a benzenepolycarboxylic acid or a derivative thereof or a mixture of two or more thereof by bringing the benzenepolycarboxylic acid or the derivative thereof or the mixture of two or more thereof into contact with a hydrogen-containing gas is carried out in the presence of a catalyst which comprises as active metal at least one metal of transition group VIII of the Periodic Table alone or together with at least one metal of transition group I or VII of the periodic table applied to a support which contains macropores with the proviso that if dimethyl terephthalate is hydrogenated, the hydrogenation using a catalyst which comprises as active metal ruthenium either alone or together with at least one metal of transition group I, VII or VIII of the Periodic Table applied to a support, where the support has a mean pore diameter of at least 50 nm and a BET surface area of at most 30 m2/g and the amount of the active metal is from 0.01 to 30% by weight, based on the total weight of the catalyst, and the ratio of the surface areas of the active metal and the catalyst support is less than 0.05, and/or a catalyst which comprises as active metal ruthenium either alone or together with at least one metal of transition group I, VII or VIII of the Periodic Table in an amount of from 0.01 to 30% by weight, based on the total weight of the catalyst, applied to a support, where from 10 to 50% of the pore volume of the support is formed by macropores having a pore diameter in the range from 50 nm to 10,000 nm and from 50 to 90% of the pore volume of the support is formed by mesopores having a pore diameter in the range from 2 to 50 nm, where the sum of the pore volumes adds up to 100%, is excluded, and novel hydrogenation products, obtainable by hydrogenating benzenepolycarboxylic acid (derivatives) as well as their use as plasticizers in plastics.

    摘要: The mixture described is a mixture of isomeric nonanol diesters of a dicarboxylic acid, selected from the class consisting of a mixture of diesters of adipic acid in the 1H NMR spectrum of which, observed in CDCl3, the ratio of the area under the resonance signals at chemical shifts in the range from 1.0 to 2.0 ppm with respect to TMS to the area under the resonance signals at chemical shifts in the range from 0.5 to 1.0 ppm with respect to TMS is from 1.20 to 5.00 and a mixture of diesters of phthalic acid, in the 1H NMR spectrum of which, observed in CDCl3, the ratio of the area under the resonance signals at chemical shifts in the range from 1.1 to 3.0 ppm with respect to TMS to the area under the resonance signals at chemical shifts in the range from 0.5 to 1.1 ppm with respect to TMS is from 1.00 to 4.00. The diesters of adipic and phthalic acid are suitable as plasticizers for PVC-based molding compositions and have high compatibility, a low cold crack temperature, low torsional rigidity and/or high thermal stability.

    摘要: Monoacetals of aromatic 1,2-diketones are manufactured by reacting the corresponding 1,2-diketones, in an organic solvent, with an acid ester (R.sup.1).sub.n X as alkylating agent and an alcoholate (R.sup.2 O).sub.m Me, where R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are identical or different hydrocarbon radicals of 1 to 12 carbon atoms, which may or may not be substituted, n and m are integers from 1 to 3, X is a monobasic, dibasic or tribasic acid radical and Me is a metal of main groups 1 to 3 of the periodic table of the elements. The resulting diketone monoacetals are particularly suitable for use as photoinitiators in photopolymerizable compositions.
