    Abstract: The present disclosure is related to a foam forming aqueous composition including at least 100 ppm of a detergent being a compound of formula (I) R1OOC—Z—COOR2  (I), in which R1 and R2 are independently from each other selected from C1-C20 branched alkyl, C5-C10 cycloalkyl or C5-C14 aryl or heteroaryl and can be different or identical. The linker Z is selected from divalent aliphatic or aromatic groups such as —(CH2)n— with n=1-20, The ratio between the detergent and the defoamer is in the range of 19:1 to 35:1. Also disclosed is a washing process in which the foam forming aqueous composition is applied, and a laundry detergent.
