Abstract: Provided herein is a process for preparing a rigid polyisocyanurate foam including reacting a composition (A) including a polyesterol, a blowing agent including formic acid, a catalyst system including at least one trimerization catalyst and at least one polyisocyanate as component (B), wherein composition (A) further includes at least one polyether alcohol prepared by addition of alkylene oxides to toluenediamine. Further provided herein is a rigid polyisocyanurate foam obtained through the process described herein and the use of said rigid polyisocyanurate foam as insulating material.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing composite profiles comprising at least two metal shells which are joined by struts comprising a thermoplastic material and a core comprising rigid polyurethane foam, which comprises introduction of the starting components of the rigid polyurethane foam into a hollow space formed by the metal shells, with the rigid polyurethane foam being formed, and subsequent application of a surface coating to the outer surface of the composite profile by means of a powder coating or baking enamel, where the rigid polyurethane foam is obtained by reaction of the following components: A) at least one polyisocyanate, B) at least one polyfunctional compound which is reactive toward isocyanates, C) one or more blowing agents comprising at least formic acid, D) optionally one or more flame retardants, E) optionally one or more catalysts and F) optionally further auxiliaries or additives, wherein the starting components of the rigid polyurethane foam do not comprise any inorganic fillers.

The two ends of the respective fiber (F) not surrounded by the foam thus each project from one side of the molding. Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition for producing a rigid polyurethane foam comprising at least one polyol having a molecular weight of not less than 1700 g/mol and at least one blowing agent as component A, and at least one polyisocyanate as component B, wherein the at least one polyisocyanate B comprises from 11 to 39.5 wt % of a polyisocyanate prepolymer, based on a polyether polyol having an OH number of at least 100 mg KOH/g, to a rigid polyurethane foam obtainable by reacting this composition, to a process for producing such a rigid polyurethane foam, to the use of such a rigid polyurethane foam for insulation, especially for pipe insulation and also to a process for producing an insulated pipe.
