The present disclosure provides a display panel and a display apparatus. The display panel includes: a base substrate; pixel light-transmitting regions, each pixel light-transmitting regions includes: pixel light-transmitting region rows extending in a first direction and arranged in a second direction; at least one of the pixel light-transmitting region rows includes: a first pixel light-transmitting region, a second pixel light-transmitting region, and a third pixel light-transmitting region; a length of the third pixel light-transmitting region is less than that of the first pixel light-transmitting region in the second direction, and is less than that of the second pixel light-transmitting region in the second direction; and a first blocking structure on one side of the base substrate, an orthographic projection of the first blocking structure is in a gap between orthographic projections of two at least partially adjacent third pixel light-transmitting regions in the second direction on the base substrate.

The display panel includes a first base substrate; a second base substrate opposite to the first base substrate; a liquid crystal layer between the first and second base substrates; a first alignment film at a side of the first base substrate facing the liquid crystal layer; a second alignment film at a side of the second base substrate facing the liquid crystal layer; a polarizer at a side of the first base substrate away from the liquid crystal layer; and a quarter-wave plate between the polarizer and the first base substrate. An angle between a center line of an included angle between the first alignment direction of the first alignment film and the second alignment direction of the second alignment film and a slow axis of the quarter-wave plate is in a range from 75 to 105 degrees.

Embodiments of the present invention disclose a pixel structure and a driving method thereof, an array substrate and a display device, relating to the technical field, of display. By making brightness ratios of sub-pixels of different colors consistent in different gray scales without reducing the brightness of a displayed image, the quality of the displayed image is improved. The pixel structure comprises sub-pixels of at least two colors, each of the sub-pixels comprising a plate electrode and a slit electrode provided to be insulated from each other. The slit electrodes included in the sub-pixels of different colors are configured to have different structures, to make voltage-transmittance curves of the sub-pixels of different colors consistent.

At least a part of the first subpixels each have an aperture ratio smaller than that of any of the second subpixels.
