Polypectomy devices and methods for making and using polypectomy devices are disclosed. An example polypectomy device may include an elongate sheath having a proximal end region and a distal end region. A shaft may be slidably disposed within the sheath. A handle may be coupled to the proximal end region of the sheath. The handle may be designed to axially shift the shaft relative to the sheath. A snare may be coupled to the shaft. The snare may include a first region, a traction region, and a distal tip region. The first region may have a non-circular cross-sectional shape. The traction region may include a plurality of traction members. At a position between two adjacent traction members the snare may have a reduced cross-sectional area relative to the first region. The distal tip region may have a circular cross-sectional shape.

Medical devices and methods for making and using medical devices are disclosed. An example medical device includes a pressure sensing guidewire. The pressure sensing guidewire may include an elongate shaft including a core wire having a distal portion and a coil disposed over the distal portion. A pressure sensor may be disposed along the distal portion of the core wire and within the coil. One or more leads may be coupled to the pressure sensor. An opening may be formed in the coil that provides access to the pressure sensor.

A method of manufacturing a medical device is disclosed. The method comprises laser cutting a tubular member. The tubular member may have an inner surface, an outer surface and a tubular wall defining a thickness extending therebetween. The method may also include laser cutting the member. Laser cutting may include removing a portion of the thickness of the tubular wall at one or more discrete locations along the tubular wall. The method may also include chemically etching the one or more discrete locations to form a slot within the tubular wall at the one or more discrete locations along the tubular member.

The renal nerve modulation device may include an elongate catheter shaft having a distal portion. An ablation member may be coupled to the distal portion. The catheter shaft may have a slotted portion having a plurality of slots formed therein. At least some of the slots formed in the slotted portion may define a plurality of beams in the slotted portion that extend along the slotted portion and that are aligned in a wave pattern.

The medical device may include an elongated shaft having a proximal region and a distal region and a lumen extending therethrough and an optical pressure sensing block disposed within the lumen, the optical pressure sensing block including a distal portion bearing a pressure sensing membrane and a proximal portion forming an optical fiber connector extending proximally from the proximal portion. The optical fiber connector may be configured to be coupled to an optical fiber extending through the lumen.
