    Abstract: Medical devices and methods for making and using medical devices are disclosed. An example medical device may include a renal nerve modulation device. The renal nerve modulation device may include an elongate catheter shaft having a distal portion. An ablation member may be coupled to the distal portion. The catheter shaft may have a slotted portion having a plurality of slots formed therein. At least some of the slots formed in the slotted portion may define a plurality of beams in the slotted portion that extend along the slotted portion and that are aligned in a wave pattern.

    Abstract: A medical device for measuring blood pressure includes a proximal shaft and a distal member including a slotted tube defining a distal lumen extending through the slotted tube, the distal lumen aligned with the proximal lumen and including a distal lumen inner surface. A distal cap is secured to the distal member, the distal cap including a distal cap inner surface defining a void space and an optical pressure sensor is disposed within the void space. A fiber optic cable is coupled to the optical pressure sensor and extends proximally through the distal lumen.     Abstract: Renal nerve modulation devices and methods for making and using renal nerve ablation devices are disclosed. An example renal nerve modulation device may include elongate catheter shaft having a distal portion. One or more tubular shafts may be disposed within the catheter shaft. Each of the tubular shafts may include a proximal portion, a distal portion, and a lumen extending therebetween. Each of the tubular shafts may also include a slotted portion having a plurality of slots formed therein. The slots may define a preferential zone of bending in a predetermined direction. Each of the tubular shafts may also an actuation member that is configured to shift the tubular shaft between a first configuration and a bent configuration. An ablation member may be coupled to the distal portion.
