Abstract: A medical system including a tube defining a lumen, a porous body connected to a distal end of the tube to be advanced to a target site within a subject. The porous body defines a plurality of openings, the plurality of openings are in fluid connection with the lumen, the porous body includes a first material and a second material, and the second material elutes from the porous body in the subject.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to stents, systems, and methods for gastrointestinal treatment. In some embodiments, a stent may include a tubular scaffold having a first end opposite a second end, wherein a lumen extends between the first and second ends. The tubular scaffold may include a flared section and a medial section extending from the flared section, wherein a first diameter of the flared section is greater than a second diameter of the medial section. The stent may further include a liner extending partially along a surface of the tubular scaffold, wherein the liner is spaced from an anchoring region of the flared section to promote tissue ingrowth with the flared section.

Abstract: A stent with a selectively curved region. The stent includes a radially expandable tubular framework and a covering surrounding the tubular framework. A stent also includes a drawstring having a first end attached to the tubular framework at a first attachment location proximate the distal end of the tubular framework. The second end of the first drawstring is manipulatable proximate the proximal end of the tubular framework to deflect the tubular framework into a curved configuration.

Abstract: An endoprosthesis configured to shift between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration may include a tubular scaffold formed from a single filament knitted about a central longitudinal axis and defining a length from a proximal end to a distal end, the tubular scaffold including a plurality of rows of loops and a plurality of rows of rungs arranged around the central longitudinal axis in an alternating fashion; and a polymeric covering extending along the tubular scaffold. Each row of loops and each row of rungs extends longitudinally along the tubular scaffold between the proximal end and the distal end. The tubular scaffold includes a first cutout region extending along a majority of the length of the tubular scaffold and a second cutout region extending along a majority of the length of the tubular scaffold. The polymeric covering is uninterrupted along the first cutout region and the second cutout region.

Abstract: A stent with a selectively covered end region. The stent includes a radially expandable tubular framework and a covering surrounding the tubular framework. The covering includes a skirt surrounding a distal end region of the tubular framework which is selectively removable from the distal end region of the tubular framework to expose the distal end region of the tubular framework to permit hyperplastic tissue ingrowth through the distal end region of the tubular framework. For example, the skirt may be folded, rolled, collapsed, or separated from the remainder of the covering to expose the distal end region of the tubular framework.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to stents, systems, and methods for anchoring devices within a body lumen by cooperation between the device and the body musculature. A device comprising an elongate tubular member may be deployed within a body lumen, where the body lumen includes a sphincter that regulates flow through the body lumen. The elongate tubular member includes a sleeve formed from a flexible membrane and one or more stents disposed at either or both ends of the sleeve. In some embodiments, the stents may be treatment stents configured to treat a portion of the body lumen. The elongate tubular member may be deployed within the body lumen such that the flexible membrane aligns with and moves in coordination with the sphincter, thereby increasing retention forces acting upon the elongate tubular member when the sphincter is closed to minimize treatment stent migration.
