摘要: A treatment of a medical difficulty associated with the formation or presence of a blood clot in a blood vessel, commonly known as “thrombectomy.” Said treatment may be achieved by introducing and positioning through a single lumen a device capable of macerating, irrigating and aspirating as well as supporting structures proximal to the distal end of said device. Said device is introduced via a blood vessel, and deployed at a treatment site. The macerator is then operated to dislocate thrombus, clot, or other occlusive materials at the target site, the irrigating element is then operated to continue to dislocate thrombus, clot, or other occlusive materials at the target site, and the aspirating element is used to collect and remove the disruptive materials from the target site.

摘要: A method of stenting, comprises: implanting a stent assembly in a vessel of a subject, the stent assembly, including: a stent jacket, comprising an expansible mesh structure, formed of fibers of a diameter between about 7 micrometers and about 18 micrometers, the diameter having a property of forming a substantially stable layer of endothelial cells, covering the fibers, thus reducing platelet aggregation, and an expansible stent, operatively associated with the stent jacket. The method further comprises administering to the subject an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) comprising a platelet aggregation reducer for a shortened time period, not exceeding six months, the shortened time period being a consequence of the property. In accordance with some embodiments, the administration of a platelet aggregation.

摘要: A flexible anchor for coupling a suture to a bone is provided. The anchor is composed of non-woven electrospun fibers and has an elongate tubular body that extends from a first end to a second end. The anchor is configured to receive a suture that enters the anchor through a first aperture and exits the anchor through a second aperture. When free ends of the suture are pulled, the anchor transitions from a first configuration to a second anchoring configuration.

摘要: The invention provides compositions featuring chitosan and methods for using such compositions for the local delivery of biologically active agents to an open fracture, complex wound or other site of infection. Advantageously, the degradation and drug elution profiles of the chitosan compositions can be tailored to the needs of particular patients at the point of care (e.g., in a surgical suite, clinic, physician's office, or other clinical setting).

摘要: The present invention discloses a preparation method of a titanium nail capable of loading a drug. The titanium nail capable of loading a drug includes a titanium nail body capable of loading a drug, and a microporous ceramic layer capable of loading a drug arranged on the surface of the titanium nail body. The steps of the method include: pretreating the surface of the titanium nail body, preparing a microporous mould for hyaluronic acid-alginic acid microspheres, preparing a titanium sol solution, coating film, pore-forming and calcining. It fails to generate the exfoliations and the wear debris to prevent the human body from “wear debris disease” and reaction to a foreign body. Moreover, various drugs such as the antibacterial drugs, and the drugs for promoting the healing etc. can be loaded, targeted and slow-released, which is good for medical usage.

摘要: Devices for removing implanted objects from body vessels are provided. A device includes a sheath assembly having a cutting tip. The cutting tip includes a cutting surface that is adapted to cut tissue coupled to an implanted object as the cutting tip rotates. The sheath assembly further includes an outer shield carried outside of the cutting tip. The outer shield includes a distal opening, and the outer shield is translatable relative to the cutting tip from a first position to a second position and vice versa. In the first position the cutting surface of the cutting tip is disposed within the outer shield, and in the second position the cutting tip extends through the distal opening and the cutting surface is at least partially disposed outside of the outer shield.
