Abstract: A sheet construction including a first material, and methods of making and using the same. The first material can include a leading edge, a trailing edge, a first longitudinal edge, and a second longitudinal edge. The first material can define a first print-receptive medium. The sheet construction can also include a leading margin extending from the first longitudinal edge to the second longitudinal edge and bounded at least by the leading edge, the first longitudinal edge, the second longitudinal edge, and the print-receptive medium. The sheet construction can also include a first side margin bounded at least in part by the leading margin, the first longitudinal edge, and the first print-receptive medium. The first side margin can include at least one compressed region.

Abstract: A heat transfer sheet assembly and method is disclosed for improving the process of removing the carrier layer from a facestock layer. The heat transfer sheet assembly may include a heat transfer facestock layer and a carrier layer. The facestock layer may be attached to the carrier layer and include an indicia receptive surface along a side opposite the carrier layer. The carrier layer may include at least one peel line that extends from opposite edges of the assembly wherein the peel line assist to remove the carrier layer from the heat transfer facestock layer once indicia is printed on the facestock layer.

Abstract: A label sheet assembly and method is disclosed for improving the process of feeding label sheets through a printer. The label sheet assembly may include a facestock layer and a liner sheet. The facestock layer may include an adhesive layer along at least a portion of a first side and include a label surface along at least a portion of the second side opposite the adhesive layer. The liner sheet layer may include at least one surface feature provided along a back side of the liner sheet. In another embodiment, the facestock layer may include at least one surface feature provided along the front of the facestock layer. The surface features may create a zone of increased friction or increase tactile sensitivity along the various surfaces of the label sheet assembly to improve printer processing.

Abstract: A multilayer laminate such as a label assembly having high opacity and desirable appearance characteristics is described. The laminate includes a facestock layer, an adhesive layer, and a liner layer. The facestock layer includes a print-receiving top coat layer that includes a combination of titanium dioxide and one or more optical brighteners. The combination of these materials avoids build up of static charges upon laser printing on the facestock.

Abstract: A labeling assembly is shown and described herein. A labeling assembly for laminating labels may include a label sheet, a laminating sheet and an alignment member. The alignment member may allow folding of the label sheet and laminating sheet. The label sheet may include a facestock sheet and a liner sheet. Labels may be pre-cut in the facestock sheet. The laminating sheet may include a laminae film sheet and a liner sheet. Protective covers may be pre-cut in the liner sheet and laminae overlays may be pre-cut in the laminae film sheet. The protective covers may be removed to expose an adhesive portion of the laminae overlay. The label sheet and the laminating sheet may be folded onto each other at the alignment member. The laminae overlay may adhere to the label to form a removable laminated label.
