Abstract: A system and method are provided for forming one-way light transmissive layers implementing optical light scattering techniques in those layers, and to objects, object portions, lenses, filters, screens and the like that are formed of, or that otherwise incorporate, such one-way light transmissive layers. Processes are provided by which to form, or otherwise incorporate, one or more one-way light transmissive, or substantially transparent, object portions or layers in solid or hollow objects Individual one-way light transmissive layers are formed of substantially-transparent sub-micrometer spheres, including micro-particles and/or nano-particles, with nano-voids incorporated between them. Refractive indices of the sub-micrometer particles are tunable in order that the finished layers provide an opaque appearance when viewed from a light incident side that is rendered according to an individual user's desires, but that are substantially-transparent to light passing through the finished layers to areas or sensors behind those finished layers.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to plaster boards and methods for making them. For example, one aspect of the disclosure is a plaster board comprising one or more continuous layers of material disposed within a body of hardened plaster material, the first side and second side of each continuous layer of material being substantially covered by the hardened plaster material. In certain such embodiments, each continuous layer of material includes a polymer (e.g., a damping polymer) disposed on a carrier sheet. Another aspect of the disclosure relates to a method for making a plaster board that involves drying a wet body of plaster material while a continuous layer of material or precursor therefor is disposed within it.

Abstract: A biodegradable cellulose fiber-based substrate, at least one side of which is coated with a release coating including: a) at least one water-soluble polymer (WSP) containing hydroxyl groups, and b) at least one lactone substituted with at least one linear or branched and/or cyclic C8-C30 hydrocarbon chain which may contain heteroatoms. The biodegradable substrate is certified biodegradable in accordance with EN 13432. A method of production thereof is also disclosed.

Abstract: A tile for wall, floor or ceiling covering that includes a first layer consisting of metal, a second layer consisting of enamel that is chemically bonded to the first layer, a third layer consisting of an image in glass ink printed onto the second layer, and one or more overlay layer printed onto the third layer, using that same image, and which only partially covers the third layer such that texture is given to the surface of the tile and a more realistic impression of said image is created.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a colloidal (meth)acrylic polymer emulsion, wherein the (meth)acrylic polymer has a weight average molecular weight of 3000 to 8000 daltons, Tg of 110 to 140° C. and an acid value of 150 to 240 mgKOH/g. The present invention also provide a water-based hot stamping primer coating which comprises the colloidal (meth)acrylic polymer emulsion. The present invention further provides a hot stamping film comprising a hot stamping primer formed from the water-based hot stamping primer coating.

A second substrate having a second metal layer on one surface is adhered to the tape layer opposite the first substrate. At least one of the first and second metal layers includes mating cutouts to at least partially expose the flow channels.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to extrusion-coated structural systems including at least one extruded profile member coupled to and extending outwardly from an extrusion-coated structural member, as well as methods of making and using the same. Structural systems of the present invention that include at least one extruded profile member may exhibit enhanced flexibility, functionality, and/or durability.
