A primary-side feedback control device for a power converter includes a control unit for generating a pulse signal according to a feedback signal for controlling on and off states of a switching transistor of the power converter, a comparator coupled to an auxiliary winding of a primary side of the power converter for generating at least one control signal according to a voltage on the auxiliary winding and a reference voltage, a sample-and-hold unit coupled to the auxiliary winding, the comparator, and the control unit for generating the feedback signal according to the voltage on the auxiliary winding and the at least one control signal, and a voltage generator coupled to the control unit, the comparator, and the sample-and-hold unit for generating the reference voltage according to the feedback signal.

The present invention discloses a standby power saving method for power module applications, comprising the steps of: generating a mode signal according to voltage comparison of a feedback signal and a threshold voltage, wherein the mode signal has a normal mode state and a standby mode state; generating a pulse signal according to the mode signal, wherein the pulse signal has a normal PWM mode responsive to the normal mode state of the mode signal, and a VCC mode responsive to the standby mode state of the mode signal; and generating a gating signal according to the pulse signal for driving a primary side power switch. The present invention also provides a standby power saving apparatus for power module applications.

The control unit is utilized for generating a pulse signal according to a feedback signal for controlling on and off states of a switching transistor of the power converter. The present invention discloses a minimum on-time reduction method for a switching power conversion, comprising the steps of: generating a first reset signal and an over-supply pulse signal according to a current sensing signal and a reference signal; generating a blanking signal according to a count number of the over-supply pulse signal; and generating a second reset signal by performing Logic-AND operation on the first reset signal and the blanking signal. Furthermore, the present invention also provides a minimum on-time reduction apparatus for a power conversion, and a system using the minimum on-time reduction apparatus for a power conversion.

The present invention relates to a digitally controlled switched-mode power supply, wherein a switched-mode power supply is provided with a control circuit, which comprises a signal amplifier unit able to receive digital signals or analog signals and a switching controller able to receive the signals. The switching controller uses the signals to produce a clock signal, after which the clock signal is output, whereupon the signal amplifier unit feeds a signal back to control the switching controller. The signal amplifier unit is provided with at least one amplifier element, and when the amplifier element receives a digital signal or analog signal, then the signal is transmitted to the switching controller. Accordingly, the control circuit achieves the effectiveness to not only receive and transmit digital signals, but also receive and transmit analog signals, and is thus provided with the advantage of enormous flexibility.

The present invention discloses a charge-pump circuit capable of regulating voltage without any external voltage regulator, wherein an input-modifying circuit is installed between the voltage-input end and the charge-pump circuit and used to detect the variation of the output voltage of the charge-pump circuit and modify the voltage input to the charge-pump circuit via a negative feedback mechanism, and the output voltage is thus regulated and stabilized. Therefore, in the present invention, the input voltage does not change with the variation of loads, and the output voltage is not determined by the input voltage but by the input-modifying circuit.

The present invention discloses a safety capacitor discharging method for AC-to-DC converters, wherein the AC-to-DC converters have a safety capacitor connected between two line voltages, the method comprising the steps of: detecting at least one line voltage to generate a line-off signal, wherein the line-off signal is at a first state when the peak voltage of the at least one line voltage is above a reference voltage, and the line-off signal is at a second state when the peak voltage of the at least one line voltage is below the reference voltage; and performing discharge of the safety capacitor by generating a conduction path between two plates of the safety capacitor when the line-off signal is at the second state. The present invention also provides a safety capacitor discharging apparatus for AC-to-DC converters.
