Abstract: A pedal device includes: a pedal configured to rotate about a rotational axis; and a reaction force generator configured to generate a reaction force corresponding to an urging force generated by pressing operation of the pedal. The pedal includes an urging portion configured to transmit the urging force to the reaction force generator when the urging portion is rotated integrally with the pedal. The reaction force generator includes a linearly moving portion configured to move linearly in an extending direction of a central axis of the reaction force generator when the pressing operation is performed. The urging portion has an urging surface configured to urge a contact surface of the linearly moving portion. The urging portion is placed at a position where a virtual urging center passes through a virtual axis perpendicular line when the pedal is rotated within a predetermined rotational range.

Abstract: A valve device includes a stationary disk, a shaft and a rotor. The valve device includes: a housing that has a boss portion, through which the shaft is inserted; and a seal member that is shaped in a ring form and is configured to seal a gap between the shaft and the boss portion. The shaft includes a holder that has a contact portion which is in contact with the seal member. The holder is made of a polymer material which includes reinforcing fibers contained in resin. At least the contact portion at the holder extends in an axial direction of the shaft, and a distal end portion of the holder located on one side in the axial direction is coupled to a gear arrangement of a drive device. The distal end portion of the holder has a trace of an injection gate for injecting the polymer material.

Abstract: In a valve device, a rotor is configured to increase or decrease an opening degree of at least one passage hole formed at a stationary disk in response to rotation of a shaft. Abstract: A valve apparatus performs at least one of a first operation in which an electric motor is energized in a valve-close direction and a rotation shaft is rotated until its rotation is stopped and a second operation in which the electric motor is deenergized and a valve is fully closed by a biasing force of a return spring. Thereby, a rotation angle of the rotation shaft becomes a rotation-stop angle or the rotation angle becomes in the backlash range, so that a biasing force of the return spring is not transmitted to the rotation shaft. Then, the electric motor generates a specified torque, which is less than a valve-opening torque by which the valve starts opening. Thereby, a rotation angle of the rotation shaft can be stopped at a full-close angle. The full-close angle can be made correspond to an output of a rotational angle sensor.

Abstract: A rotational angle sensor for an EGR valve memorizes a correlated characteristic between hall voltage and output voltage. Hall voltage of the rotational angle sensor at a reference angle is matched to a boundary value for the hall voltage on a valve closing side, wherein the reference angle is set at such an angle, which is shifted by a predetermined angle in the valve closing side from an upper-limit angle of a flow-rate dead zone. A valve full-closing control is carried out in order that the hall voltage will coincide with the boundary value on the valve closing side. An actual value of the rotational angle coincides with a value, which is shifted from the reference angle in a valve closing or opening direction by a changing range decided by changing factors of a sensor side and/or a mechanical-part side.
