    摘要: A case for writing utensils and accessories consists of a base or receiving part into which the utensils and accessories fit, and a cover part which fits over the receiving part and projects upwardly from it. The upwardly projecting portion of the cover part forms an enclosed space into which the utensils and accessories can extend from the receiving part. The receiving part has protruberances extending outwardly from it which releasably interengage with openings in the cover part for locking the two parts together. A handle member is secured to the cover part so that the case can be easily carried.

    摘要: A nozzle ring of an extruder for blowing tubular plastics film is divided into cooling sectors provided with adjusting elements. The thicknesses of the blown film are measured over the circumference thereof and a number of film sectors of equal circumferential length corresponding to the number of cooling sectors is established from the measured thicknesses. Assuming that the film sector of maximum or minimum thickness has been extruded in the correct position for the purpose of determining the cooling sector associated with the film sector, the subsequent film sectors are in turn allocated to successive cooling sectors. From the measurements, the mean thickness distributions are determined over the individual film sectors. These values of mean thickness distribution define a measure for the correcting command for the adjusting elements of the cooling sectors that are associated with the respective film sectors.

    摘要: A Venturi tube which is especially suited for the differential pressure measurement of flowing gas/particulate material media with high dust loading at temperatures exceeding 100.degree. C. and at elevated pressures includes a pressure-resistant metallic jacket and an inner lining of wear-resistant porous material which is accommodated in the jacket and bounds a flow-through passage with the Venturi configuration. Respective annular chambers are situated at the inlet region and at the smallest-diameter region of the flow-through passage, there annular chambers being separated from the flow-through passage by respective layers of wear-resistant porous material and being connected by respective pulse conduit with a differential pressure measuring device.

    摘要: A nozzle ring of an extruder for blowing tubular plastics film is divided into cooling sectors provided with adjusting elements. The thicknesses of the blown film are measured over the circumference thereof and a number of film sectors of equal circumferential length corresponding to the number of cooling sectors is established. Assuming that the film sector of maximum or minimum thickness has been extruded in the correct position for the purpose of determining the cooling sector associated with the film sector, the subsequent film sectors are in turn allocated to successive cooling sectors. The mean thickness distributions are determined from the measurements over the individual film sectors. Those cooling sectors to which film sectors were allocated having thin or thick portions exceeding a respective thin or thick portion threshold value which is a fraction of the value of the film sector with the absolute minimum or maximum thickness, respectively, are cooled or heated until the film thicknesses are within the permissible tolerance range.

    摘要: A method of pretreating raw water, for instance sea water, which is intended for supplying reverse osmosis units. An aqueous solution of acid salt and acid with the same anions is mixed with the raw water, whereby the most advantageous pH value is adjusted for the reverse osmosis, and whereby the acid salt is converted into the corresponding hydroxide. After possible addition of flocking or flaking additives, the resulting hydroxide flakes are separated, in a strongly concentrated form, by way of a centrifuge, particularly a plate or disc centrifuge, and together with fresh metal salt, are again brought into solution as a salt by means of the previously mentioned acid and, after mechanical purification in a second centrifuge, likewise particularly a plate or disc centrifuge, are again supplied to the raw water. The pretreated raw water leaves under pressure from the separator through which it flows and, alternatively, a chemical reducing agent may be added to this departing water flow. With a small requirement for metal salts, the recirculation can be eliminated. Also, the addition of the reducing agent to the pretreated raw water can be eliminated.
