Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for monitoring aircraft to mitigate potential loss of communication scenarios. One exemplary method involves monitoring a plurality of communications channels using an onboard communications system, maintaining associations between respective communications channel assignments and respective operational contexts based on the plurality of clearance communications, and in response to detecting a change in an operational context of the aircraft, providing indication of a recommended communications channel based on an association between the recommended communications channel and one of the plurality of different operational contexts corresponding to a current operational context of the aircraft.

Abstract: Vehicle systems and methods are provided for capturing audio during operation for subsequent presentation and analysis. One method involves obtaining a plurality of audio segments via an audio input device onboard an aircraft, classifying each audio segment of the plurality of audio segments into one or more of a plurality of topic categories based at least in part on the content of the respective audio segment, and providing a graphical user interface (GUI) display depicting the plurality of audio segments in a time-ordered sequence. The GUI display includes GUI elements for selectively removing subsets of audio segments classified into particular topic categories from the time-ordered sequence.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided determining airport operations based on radio communications, the method includes: configuring a receiver of an aircraft to scan communication channels of different radio frequencies related to transmissions between air traffic control (ATC) and a set of aircrafts to determine one or more communication channels associated with the set of aircrafts in a coverage area to enable the receiver to monitor and receive air traffic control (ATC) communications of the set of aircraft; and processing, by a conversation extractor unit, the ATC communications to extract clearance information in the ATC communications, and to associate the clearance information with an identifier with each aircraft to create a table of timings of the clearance information to a particular aircraft with the identifier providing a view of airport operations.

For instance, the method may include receiving the analytical model from a cloud service; obtaining local data of the IIoT edge node; analyzing the local data to determine a situational context of the IIoT edge node; determining whether to transform the analytical model based on a fit between the analytical model and the situational context; and in response to determining to transform the analytical model, transforming the analytical model based on the situational context to derive a transformed analytical model.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for autonomously enabling remote operation of a vehicle such as an aircraft in response to detecting an event that may impact manual operation of the vehicle. One method autonomously detects an event with respect to manual operation of the vehicle based at least in part on output from one or more systems onboard the vehicle, identifies a hands-free functionality of a vehicle system to be activated based at least in part on a characteristic of the event, and autonomously initiates activation of the hands-free functionality of the vehicle system. A command for operating the vehicle is received from an external system via an onboard communications system and provided to the vehicle system for further implementation or execution using the hands-free functionality.
