Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method and an apparatus for acquiring video coding compression quality. The method may include: acquiring video stream information; calculating video content complexity according to the video stream information; and calculating video coding compression quality according to the bit rate, the frame rate and the video content complexity. In the embodiments of the present invention, the video coding compression quality may be acquired as long as the video frame information, the bit rate, the frame rate and the video content complexity of a video stream are acquired. The video coding compression quality may be used in subsequent video quality assessment. This process greatly reduces video quality assessment complexity and the assessment may be performed in real time. In addition, the assessed coding compression quality meets the subjective feeling of human eyes better.

The method includes dividing a target video segment into at least one video subsegment, where duration of every video subsegment is at least time perceivable by human eyes; obtaining a video quality parameter of the video subsegment; and processing the video quality parameter of the video subsegment, and obtaining a video quality parameter of the target video segment.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and an apparatus for assessing video quality. The method includes: determining an actual quantization parameter and a critical quantization parameter of the target video according to a target video, where the critical quantization parameter is a maximum quantization parameter of the target video in a case in which a distortion is not evidently identifiable by human eyes; and determining quality of the target video according to the actual quantization parameter and the critical quantization parameter. According to the method and apparatus of the present invention, a critical quantization parameter of a target video is determined, and the actual quantization parameter is compared with the critical quantization parameter, which can accurately determine whether subjective quality of the target video changes strictly monotonically relative to the used actual quantization parameter, so that the video quality can be assessed accurately.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a multimedia quality monitoring method, and a device. The method includes: determining reference quality of multimedia according to reference video quality and reference audio quality of the multimedia; acquiring multimedia distortion quality after at least one of video distortion and audio distortion of the multimedia occurs; and determining quality of the multimedia according to the reference quality of the multimedia and the multimedia distortion quality. Therefore, accuracy of a multimedia quality monitoring result is improved.

A video data quality assessment method and apparatus are disclosed. The video data quality assessment method includes: acquiring a compression distortion parameter of video data; acquiring a frame impairment distortion parameter/video data rebuffering parameter; and calculating a video quality parameter according to the compression distortion parameter and the frame impairment distortion parameter/video data rebuffering parameter, where the video quality parameter is a difference between the compression distortion parameter and the frame impairment distortion parameter/video data rebuffering parameter.

A method and a device for assessing video encoding quality. The method includes: acquiring a quantization parameter of a slice of a video frame and a quantity of bytes per pixel of the slice of the video frame of the video stream; determining complexity of content of the video according to the quantity of bytes per pixel of the slice of the video frame of the video stream; and predicting the video encoding quality according to the complexity of content of the video and the quantization parameter of the video. In the present invention, the complexity of content of the video is also considered in predicting the video encoding quality. Therefore, encoding quality predicted by a model that is obtained by considering the complexity of content of the video better satisfies subjective feelings of human eyes, thereby improving accuracy of prediction.

A method and an apparatus for assessing a video freeze distortion degree. The method includes acquiring a frame rate and a freeze feature parameter of a freeze event that are of a video stream, and the freeze event is used to represent a pause of the video stream; and acquiring a freeze event distortion value of the video stream according to the frame rate and the freeze feature parameter that are of the video stream, where the freeze event distortion value is used to represent a distortion degree of the video stream. The method and the apparatus for assessing a video freeze distortion degree in the embodiments of the present invention are more in line with subjective feelings of human, and improve accuracy of a distortion degree assessment.

The present invention discloses a method for measuring user quality of experience QoE, where the method includes the following steps: receiving event information sent by a receiving end, where the event information includes condition information for determining a cause for shortage of valid media data in a buffer of the receiving end; determining, according to the condition information, whether the shortage of the valid media data in the buffer of the receiving end is caused by a service system or caused by a user's action; and measuring QoE decrease degrees according to different causes for the shortage of the valid media data in the buffer, respectively.

The method includes: determining reference quality of multimedia according to reference video quality and reference audio quality of the multimedia; acquiring multimedia distortion quality that is after video distortion and/or audio distortion of the multimedia occur/occurs; and determining quality of the multimedia according to the reference quality of the multimedia and the multimedia distortion quality. Therefore, accuracy of a multimedia quality monitoring result is improved.
