Abstract:
A pre-chamber structure for a piston engine may include: a pre-chamber combustion chamber in which a mixture of fuel and air is combusted and a pre-chamber compression chamber including a sub-chamber communicating with the pre-chamber combustion chamber and having an inclined wall surface, and a main chamber extending from the sub-chamber, thereby preventing the fuel from being adsorbed and remaining in the wall surface of the pre-chamber compression chamber in a droplet state.
Abstract:
A method of controlling CDA conversion may include determining whether CDA device is in CDA mode driving area according to obtained vehicle operation status signal; preparing, when CDA device is in CDA mode driving area, for operating in the CDA driving mode; performing conversion to CDA mode on each cylinder of the CDA device; and controlling, when CDA device is not in DA mode driving area, vehicle driving according to normal area operation map of the CDA device, wherein at performing of conversion to CDA mode on each cylinder, when converting mode of the CDA device from on-operation mode to an operation mode, after combustion is performed in selected cylinder, first exhaust valve maintains an operation state, and remaining exhaust valves and intake valves are converted to non-operation state to perform an exhaust anti-trap control.
Abstract:
A continuous variable valve lifter having a cylinder air volume difference adjuster includes a camshaft having an input cam, an eccentric control shaft disposed parallel to the camshaft, and a control link rotatable around the eccentric control shaft. An output cam is provided to open and close a valve actuator for opening/closing, and a connection link is rotatably connected to the control link, and driving the output cam by the rotation of the input cam. A cam cap is disposed where the camshaft and the eccentric control shaft are mounted. The cylinder air volume difference adjuster includes a hinge pin serving as the rotational center of the output cam disposed parallel to the camshaft, a pin holder where the hinge pin is mounted, and an adjusting bolt for selectively shifting the position of the pin holder.
Abstract:
A multiple variable valve lift apparatus connected with a valve opening and closing unit which is adapted to rolling-contact one end thereof with a cam and is operated to open or close by a rotation of the cam, and operating to select the cam which is rolling-contacted with the valve opening and closing unit for changing a valve lift, may include a normal cam rolling-contacting with the valve opening and closing unit so as to realize a normal lift of a predetermined valve, and a low cam rolling-contacting with the valve opening and closing unit so as to realize a valve lift which is lower and longer than the normal lift realized by the normal cam, wherein the normal cam or the low cam is selectively rolling-contacted to the valve opening/closing unit according to a driving state.
Abstract:
A multiple variable valve lift apparatus may include a camshaft rotating by drive of an engine, at least two cam portions disposed on the camshaft to be movable along an axial direction of the camshaft and to be rotated together with the camshaft, and forming a high cam and a low cam, a valve opening/closing unit operated by one of the high cam or the low cam formed at the cam portion, an operating unit disposed on the camshaft to move together with one of the at least two cam portions, a solenoid selectively moving the operating unit along an axial direction of the camshaft, a interlock unit rotating together with the camshaft, and disposed between one and the other of the cam portions on the camshaft to be movable along an axial direction of the camshaft, and a pin operating unit selectively moving the interlock unit along the camshaft.
Abstract:
A multiple variable valve lift apparatus may include a camshaft, a plurality of cams slidably fitted on the camshaft and each having a cam base with a guide groove and a cam lobe, a solenoid valve including an actuating rod capable of being selectively inserted into the guide groove of a cam in the plurality of cams, and a valve opening/closing unit capable of selectively coming in contact with any cam in the plurality of cams.
