Abstract: It is an object of the present disclosure to provide a method for controlling a lithium secondary battery capable of more safely eliminating a dendrite deposition state. To achieve the object, the present disclosure provides a method for controlling a lithium secondary battery. The method includes detecting presence or absence of dendrite deposition on a negative electrode of the lithium secondary battery, performing high-rate discharge by a discharge controller for controlling a discharge amount of the lithium secondary battery when the dendrite deposition is detected, and increasing a restraint pressure of the lithium secondary battery by a restraint pressure controller for controlling the restraint pressure of the lithium secondary battery after performing the high-rate discharge.

Abstract: A lithium secondary battery of the present invention comprises: a positive electrode comprising a positive electrode current collector and a positive electrode material mixture layer, a negative electrode comprising a negative electrode current collector and a lithium metal foil, and a separator, and further comprises a thermally deformable separator disposed in the vicinity of the positive electrode material mixture layer on the surface of the positive electrode current collector, and an extension portion that extends from the lithium metal foil so as to be in contact with the thermally deformable separator; the thermally deformable separator having a melting point of 80° C. or higher, which is equal to or lower than the melting point of lithium metal; and when a thermally deformable separator 31 thermally deforms, the extension portion comes into contact with the positive electrode current collector, resulting in a short circuit of the positive electrode and the negative electrode.

Abstract: To provide an electrical storage device in which a positive electrode material and a negative electrode material are each impregnated with a different type of electrolytic solution and a method for making the same. An electrical storage device (1) includes a negative electrode (2) including an organic electrolytic solution (21), a positive electrode (3) including an aqueous electrolytic solution (31), and a solid electrolyte (4) disposed between the negative electrode (2) and the positive electrode (3). The negative electrode (2) is entirely sealed. The electrical storage device (1) includes a sealing member (5), which is provided at the periphery of the negative electrode (2) and seals the negative electrode (2). The solid electrolytes (4) form a pair including a sealing material and together with the sealing member (5) seal the negative electrode (2) so that the negative electrode (2) is disposed between the solid electrolytes (4).

Abstract: The present disclosure is intended to provide an electrolyzer capable of selectively recovering lithium. The electrolyzer recovers lithium ions Li+ from a material M. The electrolyzer includes: a pair of electrodes; and a cation exchange membrane provided between the pair of electrodes and having a lithium ion conductivity. The cation exchange membrane allows, among cations contained in the material M, more lithium ions Li+ to pass therethrough than other cations Ca2+ and Na+. The electrolyzer is configured to apply a voltage between the pair of electrodes.
