Abstract: An in-situ flow detection method and a related device are disclosed pertaining to the field of communication technologies. The method includes, when a tunnel type of an uplink tunnel of a first node is inconsistent with a tunnel type of a downlink tunnel of the first node, the first node generates a second traffic detection header based on a first traffic detection header. Therefore, the first node can continue to send, to a next hop without using an IFIT indication delivered by a control node, a packet that carries a traffic detection header, so that in-situ flow detection across tunnels of different types is implemented.

Abstract: A method for detecting a multicast service flow includes receiving, by a first node, a multicast service flow from a multicast source; encapsulating, by the first node, an In-situ Flow Information Telemetry (IFIT) extension header into a data packet in the multicast service flow, where the IFIT extension header includes a first detection identifier, and the first detection identifier is used to identify the detected multicast service flow; copying, by the first node according to a quantity of next-hop second nodes of the first node, the data packet encapsulated with the IFIT extension header; and sending, by the first node to each next-hop second node, the data packet encapsulated with the IFIT extension header. The first node is a head node in a multicast detection domain.

The network traffic migration method includes: obtaining a bandwidth usage parameter value of each of M vBNG-UP network elements, where M is an integer greater than 1; when a bandwidth usage parameter value of a first vBNG-UP network element reaches a first threshold, determining a second vBNG-UP network element based on the sum of bandwidths occupied by to-be-migrated network traffic of one or more terminal devices in a first device group on the first vBNG-UP network element and a bandwidth usage parameter value of one or more vBNG-UP network elements in a vBNG-UP network element group; and migrating the to-be-migrated network traffic of the terminal devices in the first device group to the second vBNG-UP network element.

Abstract: An ingress device determines a service packet belonging to a target service flow, obtains transmission quality information based on a detection packet, and reports a flow identifier and the transmission quality information to a controller. The controller determines transmission quality of the target service flow based on the flow identifier and the transmission quality information. The detection packet is at least one service packet belonging to the target service flow, and meets any one or a combination of a plurality of the following conditions: the service packet is transmitted through a target transmission network, the service packet is transmitted on a target transmission path, the service packet is received through a target port of the ingress device, the service packet is transmitted through an egress device, and the service packet has a target priority.
