    Abstract: This application provides a multi-link-based communication method and an apparatus, to resolve a problem of an improper switching operation in an MLO. This application is applied to a wireless local area network system that supports a next-generation Wi-Fi protocol of IEEE 802.11ax, for example, 802.11 series protocols such as 802.11be, Wi-Fi 7, or EHT, and a next generation protocol of 802.11be, Wi-Fi 8, or Wi-Fi AI, and may be applied to a UWB-based wireless personal local area network system and a sensing system. According to the method, a related condition of a group addressed frame other than a trigger frame, a multi-station block acknowledgment frame, and a no-data PPDU announcement frame is added to a condition set, so that a non-AP STA can determine, based on information about the group addressed frame when performing a switching operation, whether to switch to a listening operation mode.

    Abstract: This application is applicable to a multi-link group addressed traffic transmission method and an apparatus. A first access point (AP) of an AP multi-link device (MLD) sends group addressed traffic indication information indicating whether each AP of other APs of the AP MLD has a group addressed traffic, so that a station (STA) can learn whether the multiple APs have a group addressed traffic. In this way, each STA of the STA MLD does not need to listen to each AP whether each AP has a group addressed traffic. This reduces power consumption of the STA MLD. This application may be applied to a wireless local area network system that supports an IEEE 802.11ax next-generation Wi-Fi EHT protocol, for example, 802.11 series protocols such as 802.11be.

    Abstract: In a channel listening method, a non-simultaneous transmit and receive multi-link device (NSTR MLD) receives a first response frame on a first link and a second response frame on a second link, wherein an end time of the first response frame is later than an end time of the second response frame, and the first link and the second link belong to a NSTR link pair. The NSTR MLD determines that at least one of the first response frame and the second response frame fails to be received. In response to the determination, the NSTR MLD performs channel listening in a first interframe space after the first response frame ends, wherein a duration of the first interframe space is less than or equal to a duration of a point coordination function interframe space (PIFS).

    Abstract: This application provides communication methods, apparatus and systems. In an example method, a first station (STA) of a station multi-link device (STA MLD) sends a request frame to an access point multi-link device (AP MLD), wherein the request frame is used to request to establish single-link communication, and an address 2 field in the request frame is set to a media access control (MAC) address of the STA MLD. The first STA receives a response frame from the AP MLD, wherein the response frame indicates that the single-link communication is successfully established. The first STA performs air interface transmission with the AP MLD according to the single-link communication.
