    Abstract: This application provides a communication method and apparatus. The method includes: A terminal device receives a wake-up signal from a network device, where the wake-up signal includes a first identifier; and when the first identifier is an identifier of the terminal device, the terminal device receives paging-related information based on a length of the first identifier or initiates random access based on a length of the first identifier. In the technical solutions provided in this application, the terminal device may receive the paging-related information or initiate random access based on the length of the identifier of the terminal device in the wake-up signal, to reduce power consumption.

    Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a communication method and a communications apparatus.     Abstract: This application provides example communication methods and apparatuses. One example method includes performing, by a network device on a preconfigured resource, data demodulation on uplink data from a terminal device.     Abstract: This application discloses a method for requesting an uplink transmission resource, a terminal, and a network device. The method includes: determining, by a terminal, that a collision occurs when the terminal sends a first request to a network device, where the first request is used to request the network device to schedule an uplink transmission resource for the terminal; and adjusting, by the terminal according to a preset rule, a manner of sending the first request. In embodiments of this application, the terminal may request the uplink transmission resource from the network device by using the first request. This avoids a prior-art problem that a terminal can request an uplink transmission resource from a network device only by initiating a random access procedure, and improves flexibility of requesting an uplink transmission resource by the terminal from the network device.
