    摘要: A method for cleaning a plugged gravel pack in a subterranean wellbore is provided. The method comprises the steps of using a pressure pulsating jet and a tangential vortex to deliver a pressure pulsating treatment fluid into the gravel pack wherein soluble plugging materials in the gravel pack are dissolved by the treatment fluid and insoluble plugging materials are moved through the gravel pack and circulated out of the wellbore. The treatment fluid is driven more completely into the gravel pack to obtain a greater coverage in the pack to dissolve soluble fines and displace insoluble fines from the interstitial pore spaces of the gravel pack.

    摘要: An improved concentric coiled tubing annular fracturing string is disclosed having at least two fluid flow paths. An umbilical tube located inside of a coiled tubing string may provide one of the pathways, which may be used to isolate downhole elements, such as a packer, from harmful fluids. The annulus between the umbilical tube and the outer coiled tubing may provide the second flow pathway. The umbilical tube may contain an electric line, which may provide an electrical connection to a bottom hole assembly (“BHA”). The improved system may also provide for the measurement of down hole fracturing fluid pressure or be used to deliver a cross-linking agent to a specified portion of a well. The BHA may include an emergency packer deflation device to rapidly deflate a packer in the event the packer loses its ability to anchor against the casing.

    摘要: A cyclic check valve is provided for a coiled tubing string which enables reverse circulating for a specific period when a specific combination of pumping condition and oil conditions are favorable. The check valve may be activated to prevent reverse flow up through the valve and into the coiled tubing in the event of a failure of the coiled tubing at surface. The valve may be de-activated to allow reverse circulating. The check valve includes a flapper valve which may be de-activated by shiftable sleeve locked in place by a J-slot assembly. The check valve may be cycled from the activated to de-activated position and verified by a change in pressure drop through the tool.

    摘要: A flow control valve is disclosed for controlling the rotation of a hydraulic motor, such as a turbine, a mud motor, for example, having an element that rotates in response to power fluid. The valve disclosed may include a valve housing and a valve piston, each having a port, moveable relative to one another. When the ports at least partially align, bypass flow is generated which acts to decrease the speed of rotation of the element, such as a turbine shaft. An energizer, such as a pump assembly, is further described which is adapted to move the valve housing or the valve piston in response to the speed of rotation, such that bypass flow is a function of the motor speed (i.e. speed of rotation of the element). A bottom hole assembly including a flow control valve and a method of controlling the rotation of a downhole tool are also described.

The dual purpose BOP may include four sets of rams including a set of seal/slip rams that provide bi-directional sealing being a first barrier to downhole pressure. The seal/slip rams may also grip a portion of a bottom hole assembly and create the bottom seal of an annular chamber. The BOP may include a set of seal rams that create the top seal of the annular chamber. The annular chamber may be pressurized through a port in the BOP, which may actuate a coiled tubing connector. The BOP may include a set of locate rams used to position a coiled tubing connector within the BOP stack. The BOP may also include a set of blind/shear rams that provide bi-directional sealing being a second barrier to wellhead pressure.

The device may be comprised of a hardened material, such as stack of pure diamond disks brazed to form an insert for a throat. The device may also be comprised of polycrystalline diamond (PCD) washers stacked together and mechanically secured within the component such as a throat. The device may also be comprised of diamond grown on a mandrel into a trumpet shape, which may then be brazed or epoxied into the component. As each of these materials is harder than materials previously utilized, erosion performance is enhanced. A method of improving erosion performance of components utilized to clean a wellbore is also disclosed.
