Abstract: A system for distributed device management includes a group of devices. Each device in the group of devices communicate with one or more other devices in the group of devices over one or more network channels, and each device in the group of devices includes a processing circuit. The processing circuit of each device in the group of devices manages one or more devices in the group of devices, authorizes a new device to join the group of devices, and synchronizes data with the new device and with one or more devices in the group of devices over the one or more network channels.

Abstract: A system includes a plurality of thermostats corresponding to a plurality of HVAC systems that serve a plurality of spaces and a computing system communicable with the plurality of thermostats via a network. The computing system is configured to, for each space of the plurality of spaces, obtain a set of training data relating to thermal behavior of the space, identify a model of thermal behavior of the space based on the set of training data, perform a model predictive control process using the model of thermal behavior of the space to obtain a temperature setpoint for the space, and provide the temperature setpoint to the thermostat corresponding to the HVAC system serving the space. The plurality of thermostats are configured to control the plurality of HVAC systems in accordance with the temperature setpoints.

Abstract: A system for controlling heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning equipment includes a thermostat unit configured control the HVAC equipment and operate in at least one of a first operational state or a second, power-saving state, and a server comprising one or more processors. The processors are configured to receive one or more messages indicating changes to parameters of the thermostat unit, store the one or more messages in a storage table, receive a query from the thermostat unit responsive to the thermostat unit transitioning to the second state, the query indicating parameters of the thermostat unit and a state of the thermostat unit, retrieve, responsive to the query, a first one of the one or more message from the storage table, generate a first message based on the first one of the one or more messages and the query, and transmit the first message to the thermostat unit.

Abstract: A facility management system comprises a server, a biometric identification unit, and a processing circuit. The server is configured to store a list of registered users, and biometric information and access rights pertaining to each registered users. The biometric identification unit is associated with the building equipment. The biometric identification unit is enabled to facilitate a user desiring access to the associated building equipment to scan at least one biometric parameter, and subsequent to scanning of the biometric parameter the biometric identification unit is configured to generate a scanned biometric information. The processing circuit is communicatively coupled with the server and the biometric identification unit, and is configured to: authenticate the user based on the biometric information and the scanned biometric information; determine the access rights for the authenticated user; and subsequently provide access to the authenticated user to operate the associated building equipment based on the determined access rights.
