摘要: An image signal storing unit stores an image signal provided from the outside. An image processing unit appropriately processes the image signal stored in the image signal storing unit in accordance with the instruction from an adjusting unit. A projecting unit projects, onto a display area, light corresponding to an image created by the image processing unit. A display size determination unit computes the display size of the picture plane displayed on a screen based on an image captured by the camera provided adjacent to the projection-type video-image display device. The display size determination unit then determines whether or not the display size of the picture plane is equal to or larger than a predetermined upper-limit size.

摘要: A technology for reducing the so-called “phosphor burn-in” phenomenon where the variation of luminance arises by reducing display luminance of a certain pixel caused by deterioration in a display apparatus constituted by an organic electro luminescence element is provided. In the display apparatus, when displaying an image acquired by an image acquiring unit, luminance substantially same as average luminance of the acquired image is set to a non-display area where the image is not displayed.

摘要: A signal processing apparatus (200) is provided with a color coordinate adjusting unit (210) which performs color coordinate adjusting processing according to the color space of a display device, a luminance adjusting unit(220) which performs luminance adjusting processing, a display element control unit (240) which generates an image output signal on the basis of the color coordinates adjusted by the color coordinate adjusting processing and luminance components adjusted by the luminance adjusting processing, and a ratio control unit (230) which controls according to the saturation of an image input signal the degree of contribution of color coordinate adjustment which is provided by the color coordinate adjusting processing to the image output signal and the degree of contribution of the luminance components which is provided by the luminance adjusting processing to the image output signal. With the increase of the color saturation of an image input signal in a specific hue, the ratio control unit (230) increases the degree of contribution of the luminance components and reduces the degree of contribution of the color coordinate adjustment.

摘要: A projection display apparatus includes an imager that modulates light emitted from a light source and a projection unit that projects light emitted from the imager on a projection surface.
