Abstract:
A method of channel assessment and channel searching in a wireless network is disclosed. The wireless network separately performs a channel assessment procedure and a channel searching procedure for channel change or another object. The channel assessment procedure is to measure a status or quality of a channel which is currently used in the wireless network. A coordinator of the wireless network designates a time interval for the channel assessment to notify other device of it. The channel assessment procedure may be performed periodically, and is preferably scheduled to allow other devices not to use the channel for the time interval which at least one device performs channel assessment.
Abstract:
Relating to a home network system and a home entertainment system, a method and an apparatus for transmitting packets in a home network system and a home entertainment system are disclosed. Additionally, a method for identifying devices to which the packets are to be transmitted and an apparatus for supporting the same are also disclosed herein. According to an embodiment, a method for transmitting a packet in a high definition base transmission (hereinafter referred to as HDBaseT) system includes the steps of receiving data from a source device in a transmission adaptor, converting the received data from the transmission adaptor to a downstream packet, in order to transmit the converted downstream packet to a receiving adaptor through an HDBaseT network, and transmitting the converted downstream packet to the receiving adaptor; At this point, the downstream packet may include a hierarchical identifier for identifying HDBaseT entities to which the downstream packet is to be transmitted.
Abstract:
A method of allocating channel resources in a wireless network is disclosed. The method of allocating instant channel resources in a wireless network includes receiving channel resource scheduling information of a specific superframe from a coordinator of the wireless network, requesting the coordinator to allocate instant channel resources for an unreserved duration of the specific superframe, and receiving an announcement message from the coordinator, the announcement message announcing allocation of the instant channel resources within the unreserved duration of the specific superframe.
Abstract:
A method of controlling connection establishment to transmit or receive audio/video (A/V) data in a wireless network is provided. The method of controlling connection establishment to transmit or receive A/V data in a first device of a wireless network that includes a coordinator and at least one device includes transmitting connection request information required to request connection establishment with a second device and a connection request message which includes capability information of the first device to the second device and receiving a connection response message from the second device in response to the connection request message.
Abstract:
A wireless network system includes a platform device transmitting a first message including display capability information to at least one device and at least one device transmitting a second message to the platform device in response to the first message. The display capability information includes information on a display space and a display format supportable by the platform device. The second message includes display output information of the at least one device. The display output information includes: information on a display space, a display format, and display contents selected by the at least one device based upon the display capability information; and field type information that indicates characteristics of a field in which the display contents are displayed.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for initiating a session in a home network system are disclosed. A method for initiating a session over a HDBaseT network includes transmitting, by a initiation entity, a session initiation request message for initiating the session to at least one session partner selected by the initiation entity over an Ethernet network, and receiving a session initiation response message acting as a response to the session initiation request message from the at least one session partner over the Ethernet network. The session initiation request message includes a first source reference field for identifying the initiation entity and a second final target reference (FTR) field for identifying the at least one session partner.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting data in a transmitting device of a wireless network comprises transmitting one or more data packets to a receiving device via a reserved region comprising channel resources allocated by a coordinator, and transmitting channel time extension information for requesting channel time extension to the receiving device, in order to transmit the data packets on an unreserved region in which the coordinator does not allocate channel resources to any devices.

Abstract:
A method for supporting a session routing in a High Definition Base transmission (HDBaseT) network, the method including receiving, by an HDbaseT device from a Routing Processor Entity (RPE) through the HDBaseT network, a Link Status Request message requesting Link status information; configuring a Link Status Notify message for supporting the session routing, the Link Status Notify message including Link status information; and transmitting the Link Status Notify message to the RPE through the HDbaseT network. The Link status information of the Link Status Notify message is used to update a Link Status table, the Link Status table is used to compute routing path information from a source device to a sink device in the HDbaseT network, the HDbaseT device provides a simultaneous transmission of multiple streams, a transmission of uncompressed data, and a power transmission through a single link, and the multiple streams are transmitted uncompressed.
