Abstract:
A motor drive apparatus includes: a DC-side capacitor charged with direct current power; an inverter unit comprising multiple top switches and bottom switches, performing a switching operation so as to convert power stored in the DC-side capacitor into alternating current power, and outputting the converted alternating current power to a motor; a shunt resistor for detecting a current flowing through the DC-side capacitor; and a controller for controlling the inverter unit to perform dynamic braking for stopping the motor. Before the dynamic braking is performed, the controller controls the inverter unit to gradually increase a phase current flowing through the bottom switches.

Abstract:
A laundry treatment machine includes a drum, a motor to rotate the drum, and a driving unit to drive the motor, wherein the driving unit includes an inverter to convert direct current (DC) voltage into alternating current (AC) voltage and to output the AC voltage to the motor and an inverter controller to control the inverter to supply an alignment current to the motor so as to align the motor during a starting operation of the motor and to supply a torque current for rotating the motor to the motor together with the alignment current after the motor is aligned. Such a laundry treatment apparatus prevents a reverse rotation phenomenon of the drum due to load.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a motor drive apparatus and, more particularly, to a motor drive apparatus capable of immediately restarting by maintaining sensorless control during a stop operation of a motor. The motor drive apparatus comprises: an inverter for driving a motor by using an AC voltage; and a control unit for controlling operations of a switching element included in the inverter. At this time, when a stop command is input, the control unit decreases a duty ratio of a PWM signal until a present speed of the motor becomes smaller than a predetermined minimum speed, thereby decreasing the revolutions per minute of the motor. Then, when a restart command is input in a state where the duty ratio of the PWM signal is decreased, the control unit can immediately restart the motor by increasing the duty ratio of the PWM signal.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a motor driving apparatus and a home appliance including the same. A motor driving apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes an inverter for converting a DC voltage of a DC-link capacitor into an AC voltage according to a switching operation and outputting the converted AC voltage to a motor; a DC-link resistor disposed between the DC-link capacitor and the inverter; and a controller for controlling the inverter based on a phase current sampled through the DC-link resistor, wherein the controller estimates a phase current based on the phase current sampled through the DC link resistor, in an interval in which phase current detection is not possible. Thereby, the phase current flowing through the motor may be accurately calculated using the DC link resistor.

Disclosed are a laundry treatment machine and a method of operating the same. The method of operating a laundry treatment machine includes rotating a drum at a first velocity, forcibly vibrating the drum using a forced vibration generation signal during a first velocity rotating section, and determining whether to accelerate or decelerate the drum after forced vibration. Through this method, laundry position may be determined.
