    摘要: A regenerative braking controller for an AC motor. To determine an electromagnetic torque for slowing or stopping the motor, the regenerative braking controller accesses a lookup table to retrieve a braking torque value corresponding to a current estimate of rotor velocity. The retrieved braking torque may correspond to a maximum or minimum torque level at which regenerative braking will occur at the current rotor velocity, or to a torque level at which charging current during regenerative braking will be maximized. If an external mechanical brake is present, the regenerative braking controller can forward an external braking torque signal to a controller so that the mechanical brake can apply the remainder of the braking force beyond that indicated by the regenerative braking torque. A method for establishing the braking torques to be stored in the lookup table is also disclosed.

When an estimated vehicle speed, which is the speed of the vehicle estimated by the vehicle speed estimator, is in a determined low-speed range, the power limiter limits the power in accordance with a condition that has been determined such that the maximum power consumption of the electric brake device decreases in accordance with decrease in the estimated vehicle speed.

    摘要: A control apparatus is applied to a system that includes a rotating electric machine and an inverter. The inverter has, for each of a plurality of phases, upper-arm and lower-arm switches each of which has a diode connected in antiparallel thereto. The control apparatus includes an all-phase short-circuiting unit and a single-phase short-circuiting unit. The all-phase short-circuiting unit performs all-phase short-circuit control of turning on, for example, all the upper-arm switches of the plurality of phases while turning off all the lower-arm switches of the plurality of phases. The single-phase short-circuiting unit performs, in a regenerative drive state of the rotating electric machine and prior to execution of the all-phase short-circuit control, single-phase short-circuit control of turning on one of the upper-arm and lower-arm switches of one of the plurality of phases, turning off the other switch of the phase and turning off all the switches of the remaining phases.
